It used to be turning off almost every time I was stopping and I always drive Sport . But not anymore. I have tried Comfort, Eco, Custom, all the same. Currently, the weather is good, almost 70. Is it a defect?

Thanks

My car does the same thing. ISG (Idle Stop and Go) worked maybe twice this summer. Even after long drives. I had it in and out to the dealer last fall and they thought the cold weather affected it a lot as the battery is in an uninsulated wheel well, so it gets cold easily, and then ISG (Idle Stop and Go) doesn’t work. It took them a while to figure out. I got a new battery, and even tire sensors added to my winter tires for free to try and fix the issue. I was expecting it to start working again this spring. It didn’t. Annoys the hell out of me that this feature is so finicky.
I feel exactly the same about this thing. Maybe it's not as useful, but when something never works in the brand new car it make you worried.

When I first got my GT2 used it didn't work either. So I put my battery tender on it... took 2 days to get to solid green (fully charged). Probably sat on the lot for a long time since it was used.

Then the first time I stepped on the brakes at a light the engine cut out. I should have left the battery dead. :) I personally don't like that feature. Especially when you pull into the garage... it goes something like this:

pull in to garage
hit brakes
engine shuts of.
push P
engine starts back up
push start/stop to shut of engine

Now that's a little messed up. Why start when going into P?

For me the light in the center is on. When I stop Amber light in the Dash comes on but the engine never shuts down. It used to work. Right now the weather is almost Summer here in Chicago. I wouldn't care much about it, however dont wanna think that it can be an indication of a defect. Like I said, I tried different modes, all the same. I wish it would be an easy way of testing it.
I would test your battery's sitting voltage. Someone, maybe Merlin, suggested that up there. If the volts are below 12.4 maybe the car is in safe mode. Also i say 12.4 v because thats a common number where the battery has taken some wear. I will try to get my 46k mile stinger to use the auto off today on the way to work. Ill check my volts before i leave and report back later today.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Still warm today, 72. I dont know it just feels suspicious, it wouldn't work even once ...
On Sunday I drew about an hour on a highway, no difference.

My auto stop feature didnt activate all day today no low volts? Maybe its picky...

If you have ac or heater on, it will not activate it.

It works for me when I do not have my climate settings on. Try that after a nice highway drive.

But automatic climate control is the shit. I dont wanna save the few percent of a mile per gallon ^<^ swack

Haha I agree but on a nice hot day of 72, it’s good to roll down the windows and get some fresh air. It worked in Canada.
However during colder months, forget it. It will not turn on.

our engine shuts off even if ac/heat is on as long as the interior of the car temp is within parameters of what is set vs outside temp.. it may turn back on sooner than it would if ac/heat was off but it still turns off. Of course up north where it's truly cold (not Tennessee cold) it probably doesn't turn off since it wouldn't be able to maintain temp.
