Recently my steering wheel seemed a little too low, went to adjust it with the electronic tilt switch and it only telescopes toward me. It won’t move in, up, or down.

When I do push down on the switch I can hear an audible click but no movement. Never had this issue before so I was curious as to if anyone else has or has a solution.

Thanks.

it's dead. your the only one I've read of so far.

Had the same problem. Took it to dealer, they fixed it no problem. It may have a reset you can do. Dealer is only 3 miles from me.

I think you need the KDS tool to perform this reset. (dealer).

Hello guys, I need to revive this thread. I'm in trouble. My tilt and telescope stopped working. First it was not moving up, then towards me. Now its not responding at all. Its on lowest position. kia dealership said that it wasn't fixed by electronic diagnostic reset. They have to disassemble it and they don't have time until next week for that. Is there any way to adjust it manually without button? Its touching my knees and I can barely see cluster. Can't wait till next week, have to drive 300km trip on this weekend

Edit: I tried to push up while holding up and that didn't work. My friend has mb and he said that was common problem. Not working for me. Also tried disconnecting battery, don't know what I was expecting but it didn't help

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Mine wont tilt up/down as well. Too lazy to take it to the dealer.

I managed to fix my issue somehow, but I'm not sure its applicable to everyone. So my steering wheel was in bottom down position and won't move. But when I pressed down or in, it has slight click. So I pushed knob down, it takes a second to hear click. Then I pushed knob up. Then down again, wait for the click and then up. After repeating this process about 10 times I notices that wheel moved a little. So I repeated it for an hour lol. It got up but not its highest possible place. Now for in and out motion did the same. pushed in, wait for the click and then out. after several tries it went back to normal and now its fully extends. I hope this helps anyone.

Do you remember if the dealer charged you?

The replacement hardware for this is around 600 for the part alone. :-(

Really wishing they would have just used a manual column lol
