Eibach sway on stiff?

So I'm swapping out rims etc soon so the car will be in the air, and I'm thinking of swapping my sways over to the stiff mode.. who out there is running em stiff and what's your opinion compared to soft setting?
 
I have the Eibachs on stiff and I like it. Car corners flat. I would also say I notice it’s a little bit firmer over one-wheel bumps (2022 GT Elite).
 
I'm going to try and get a wet day autocrossing this summer in it and decide from there. Gotta decide on my torque split first though, 50/50 or 20/80. I'm thinking running the 255 square setup that I am thinking about will possibly lead to some over-steer, if that's the case, taking the front bar to the firmest setting should reduce the oversteer. If I'm getting understeer, I'll take the rear bar to the firmest setting.

I have wider, and grippier tires and wider rims I'm gonna put on so I'm thinking the extra grip would like the stiffness .. I like your process

Well part of my thought process is that they tend to set cars up to understeer from the factory, but going to a square setup with wide tires all around, I'm either going to be close to where I want, or possibly oversteering IMO. I've done this before with BMW and the car rotated real nice on slick surfaces, but can't know exactly how it's going to end up until I get out there. Wider front tires though should push you more towards less understeer or some oversteer.

I set mine up to Soft on the front and Firm on the rear so as to induce oversteer before understeer.
I recently went Firm all around ( as a trial ) but put the fronts back to soft pretty quickly since the front was way too rigid.
Depending on your tyres, the roads you drive on, and the way you drive, you should set up your bars to your taste.
Best part is, it's very easy to adjust both front and rears

Strange: in my experience the stock Stinger GT1 AWD has oversteer already. When I went a year and a half with the Eibach in the rear on soft, oversteer was easier to experience but I still had to push pretty hard to get it. When I put the front Eibach in c. a year ago (also on soft), oversteer disappeared almost entirely: if I "want" it now, I have to push the curve hard enough to start hearing tire noise, and oversteer starts to creep in: it doesn't ambush me: below that, the steering feedback is consistent and oversteer is history.
 
My car is RWD.
Yeah, I'm not able to say how RWD plays into the understeer/oversteer presence. Sounds like RWD might be opposite and have some understeer from the factory.

It really shouldn't though, RWD should have more oversteer than AWD.

True. RWD should be more over steer and AWD should be more under steer. I just found my car under steered on the track. Im so used to manual / stick shift and am having trouble getting the auto into the right gear & rev range to balance the under and over steer.

Maybe next time I go out on the track I'll swap settings and see.
 
My RWD car with the ark sway bars set at soft front and stiff rear (27mm and 20mm bars) still doesn’t oversteer much. I mean, if I nail the throttle mid turn, of course it’s going to slide out. But with no heavy throttle inputs, it is fairly neutral with this setup.
 
I suppose in retrospect, my brakes were fading pretty badly on the track ( now fixed ) so I was carrying a bit too much speed into some corners so, thus the under steer.

No doubt over steer is easy to induce.
 
Any of you guys running different springs? End links? I'm looking for ideas to stiffen up the car even more after I did both sways.. I live in Minnesota so I really don't wanna lower the car at all. Wish I could though
 
Running factory links and spring.
Here in Syd Aus we have pretty crappy roads and there's often some item that's fallen off a truck of tradesman's vehicle that have made me stick with stock height springs. Can't see the value in HD links. Springs would surely firm up your ride further.

I’m on stock springs & have Whiteline HD Endlinks, had them fitted 8 months after the swaybar upgrade, they compliment the swaybars providing improved grip & handling.

My mate has a race car that's on blocks for a while and it has HD links the same length as my fronts so he's going to loan them to me just to feel the difference. Just for fun ( and science of course ).

I do know that if your car is lowered or raised the adjustable ( HD ) links are a must to put the sway bar back into the OEM geometry.

My car is not lowered & HD Links are set at OE lengths, so I’m still at OEM geometry.
I also have wider & lighter 19” wheels & tyres, front 245 & rear 275 which also make a significant improvement to cornering & handling.

Comment re height was more for general consumption. Not directed at you :)

I do agree 100% on changing the wheels from Kia's OEM offering though. The KIA wheels weight a TONNE !
The difference when changing to lite weight wheels like yours and mine is worth every cent !

All good, yes OE wheels are about 16kgs each without tyres, mine are 12kgs each.
