Eibach Springs and Sway Backorder issues

Bottom line is they only made 1 version which is for the added awd weight.

I have awd and still wanted it lower... I suggest anyone with RWD look at Coilovers or wait for someone to offer RWD specific springs.
Thought about coilovers but don't you lose the dynamic suspension then via eco/comfort/sport modes.

KIA should offer a factory tune to make the ECS better or a Sport Package equipped version with lower ride height, along with better ride quality and handling. Heck I might need to get me a rear sway for the 2019 and some lowering springs. Was on some back roads in sport mode, using the paddles and felt the rear slide around, on what was probably a tight 45 (maybe 60) degree corner. Decisions, decisions.

Also, I think I figured out why everyone hates the rear suspension in these cars

Kia Stinger: high-performance gran turismo designed in Europe and honed at the Nürburgring

The Stinger also features an electronically-adjustable suspension system, Electronic Controlled Suspension (ECS). While always reacting predictably to the driver’s inputs, the system can be tuned via the Drive Mode Select depending on road conditions and driving style. ECS can be used to firm or soften the front and rear dampers independently, for tailored ride, response and agility. ECS can also assist drivers in ensuring a predictable driving line through corners. The system can soften the front suspension and firm the rear suspension for greater agility, reducing understeer, as well as being able to stiffen the front and slacken the rear slightly to combat oversteer and ensure greater stability. Drivers can choose from five drive modes: Eco, Sport, Sport+, Comfort and Smart. ECS is fitted as standard to GT models, and is available as an option on gasoline GT-Line models (ECS available later in 2018 on diesel GT-Line models).

When the Stinger does what I don't want it to do, the front feels fine but the ass end feels like its got hang time, and it seems like it's only doing it in sport mode. I've been driving in custom recently, with suspension set to comfort and it's been much better; still much too floaty, but the ass end doesn't feel as bad.

It seems as though Kia has set up the ECS so that rather than stiffening or softening everything, they mess with the balance front and rear.

@Terry@BMS any chance of a JB4 ECS Controller? Can we hack that somehow? :)

Rear sway will increase oversteer (more sliding left to right). Thicker sways reduces rear lifting up in corners. I would suggest you to get both bars and confirm tire pressure. Do you have staggered or squared set up? Summer or all season tires? How was the weather when you made the turn?

I think this is more of a case of "welcome to rear wheel drive", the Z was on meaty tires and full suspension and loved to slide, nothing is going to stop power oversteer except your right foot.

Might be. Or something might not be right.

I did overkill by getting AWD and staggered setup because of not wanting to oversteer out of control as being my first RWD car. I still do power slide in sports mode.

Eco mode should fix that for you :)

@Jreyes .

Hi Jared, I'm just wondering if you could advise when Eibach , Warriewood, Sydney, NSW is likely to receive their dozen F/R sways? It's part of our Forum group buy. I thought just while we had you here I'd ask. Last I heard was early July. Would this be releastic? Cheers.

Honey, would you do me the honor or dropping my ride 1.4”?

Jared, it’s great to have you on here, I have had your springs on my car for almost a year now and I will have your swaybars at my house before the weekend..

The one thing about your springs and frankly all the other options is that the front sit almost unlevel to the rear.. it truly needs to be .5” lower..

Any plans on a more aggressive front spring option?

Agree, it is even worse on the RWD. I removed my Eibach because of this, it just didn't look right. My contact at Eibach said they had no plans on making another one. So I did a lot of searching, H&R just introduced a kit specifically for the RWD (part # 28701-2), I just ordered it, will post how it fits.

Hey Everyone,
sorry for the late reply!
If the demand justified it, we are not against developing a RWD specific spring, but so far we've had very little feedback about people being unhappy with the ride heights, and globally the springs are selling well.

I have put in a request for us to take a look at a RWD specific kit. This way we can properly review it.

@Ozstung
From what i understand they have some bars on the way, usually the large orders are shipped by ocean freight so they take awhile to get there. They bring in products from all of our locations. So they may have some there sooner.

Ive tried contacting eibach through their website but never get a response. I would be interested in RWD Springs, if Eibach doesn't make them I'll end up getting the ones from ARK

If you contact us directly, the best way is Sales@Eibach.com those are seen by a few people and usually get a response pretty quick.

I have one set of the sways left in stock

and a couple springs left

As for other options ARK Also has sway bars available

Hey Nick, do you have any Eibach’s springs left? I messaged and emailed you on the site last week, but haven’t heard back.

Swaybar question: heard a few guys saying eibach front sways are squeeking... has it been resolved? Option B for ark sways they dont have grease nipples but do they squeek and how often u need to grease?
