Eibach Front Sway Bar Feedback (AWD)

Yes I was in the Area 27 track on last May 28 th 2020 , and it was great to finally have the car working properly this year :)
I turn 60 this year and I’ve told the wife she’s buying me their Camaro course for my birthday. She gave me a quick look so I said to her “well, it not like the Harley ya had to buy me for my 50th“

Lol , you will have a great time I bet if you take Area 27 course, those Camero s will stick well as they all have the Track pac he he , I will hit 63 in a few more months myself so enjoy what we can he he

The rear sway bar has defeated me, I need to pay someone. All the wobble bits in the world and I can't even get a good purchase on the bolt.

I feel you, I hated loosening and tightening on the drivers side where its really obstructed. The front is a much simpler install. I cant even remember what combination of tools I ended up using to get the rear bar tight.

My Winger and I could only get the driver side snug before I dropped the socket into what must have been a black hole. Had to take it to a shop to get tightened. I think a mid size socket would have been the ticket. They were easy on me I got out of there for sixty cash. You should have no problem with the front.

You should be happy with the corners as it seems to stabilize it so much better Billy ! Did you get Eibach springs as well ??? , Our Canadian car are believe are all Awd but USA they can choose RWD or AWD, and It seems that our Weather here in Canada works well for a DD with all the crazy weather changes lol THe Eibach springs made a lot of difference on fast cornering :) cheer s

No haven’t done springs yet, maybe at some point. I’m back on the hunt for more h.p. Next up Intercooler and possibly wmi.

If I make any more changes to my Stinger , it most likely be a Pure Turbo Up grade , if the local tuner here in Kelowna BC can get the software to retune my ECU For them , but it would a pricey upgrade and , not really useable even on the Circuit Track , as I can keep up with the Lead follow in Novice session s , but with your JB4 With WMI system installed Would make it a Beast lol My tune with chip added works perfectly well and gives a solid 409 Awd hp with 508 lb-ft .
The gas here seems to be the biggest factor as I was told Friday that most of our 91 = approximately 84 USA gas :( I alway s use Octane boosters , Shell Vpower seems to be the best here in BC as I can run just on that Shell 91 With out problems when using just Pressertech tune only with the piggyback then I add 16 oz s of Boostane octane booster to yield 97 to 98 octane value for that combined:)
THe JB4 would most likely work well with the Fuel ⛽️ combination and if you try it let’s know if worked well like it has for me /) thx Bill

Yeah, the front a completely stress free, solo hour long DIY job (At least it was on the RWD)

Right now I'm running with only the front sway on and you can absolutely tell how much it works, how much flatter the engine is in turns, but the handling is completely compromised, Gotta get the rear matched with the front asap.

Actually the Harley was for my 40th. Bought myself a carbon fibre road bike for my 50th. Hmmm almost 60 I guess my memory is going......south:confused:

Just did my rear, holy heck that driver side was terrible. Manged it with a flexible ratchet and a deep 14 mm. Rest of it was fairly straightforward. Definitely doable at home on hack stands just takes patience and the right tools. Going to get the front done in a few weeks but sounds like thats a lot simpler.

How easy was it to get the nut off that was under the line? I may be trying out the Ark bars and since the bushing brackets don’t have the side reinforcements, installation of new should be as easy as removal of old. At least in theory.

PITA, no other way to put it but doable. 14 mm deep socket on a flexible ratchet and you'll be able to get it. You'll be turning it about 1 click at a time. At least for the Eibach, getting the nut back on was more of a pain because of the bracket shape.

Also, this is the first time I've ever done anything with a car so it is managable. Just frustrating.

Thanks for the review.

I worked at Dinan--known for the best no-compromise aftermarket BMW suspension systems in North America. The important thing to consider when purchasing suspension parts is that they are part of a SYSTEM. None of them act in isolation. When Dinan, Eibach, or whoever designs and releases a suspension upgrade kit, those parts are tested by experts to work TOGETHER as a SYSTEM. Therefore, the best results are almost always when the whole kit (FR/RR bar, FR/RR springs) are installed. At Dinan, suspension tuning could take 3 months and involve 2-3 different bars and 5-6 different springs at each axle. This is what it took, along with an expert driver, to find the optimal package. Now, if one of us is willing to go to that length to test all the different parts--and is an expert driver--feel free to mix and match. If not, 99% of the time, it is best to use the aftermarket company's FULL PACKAGE.

Sorry to dig this old-ish thread up.

I'm currently looking at sway bars as my next upgrade. I'm a car guy like you all but I don't really notice the nuances of stiffness other than that the Stinger is a comfortable ride. I did have the rear end hop a few times on corner bumps, though. Will adding the bars make the ride a lot stiffer or will it be a subtle difference? Also, I've read about the front bar being squeaky, anyone else ran into that issue?

Thanks!

No stiffness, it maintains a comfortable ride, Swaybars control body roll, changing springs & dampeners can affect ride quality.
I have Eibach front & rear which the bushes come with grease nipples, if greased correctly at install you should not experience any squeak.

Awesome, good to hear. Thank you for your input! I'll probably get it after winter then.

I'm awaiting installation of my front & rear bars along with eibach springs...do I need to upgrade my endlinks to the aftermarket ones I see on khartunerz site? My pro shop asked if it came with or using existing.
