ECU Speed Limiter

Yes. Tork seems to be the only place with them at the moment. Though I haven't reached out to any dealers. I'm on the fence about the tune though. Tork and Presser seem to be the only ecu options at the moment. And I'm leaning towards Presser because they're physically a lot closer and the fact that they have a good business tuning higher end vehicles.

Ok so I'm gonna chime in.
I do between 80 and 120 more often than I do under 70 on the freeway. I have hit 150 and it was smooth. She had alot of rpm left so I would love to really rap the thing out and see about 175 180 even if it is only possible downhill with a back draft.... yes I speed alot. No I do not get pulled over (knocking on wood now lol) I enjoy fast.

Someone is trying hard to win all the internet cool points today. o_O

I hit 155 on my test drive... Sadly the car I ended up with a few months later had the all seasons on it. Tops at 135 for the moment.

You can be jailed and have your driver's licence pulled for doing over double the speed limit. But don't let that stop you. It would be good to have a solid assurance that the way ahead is clear, of cops and people. Has happened only once to me thus far.

Yea I'm the same here I spend more time north of 80mph on the freeway. So the fact of only having 30-40 mph left on the clock before I hit the limit is a real let down and especially now with the tune it feels like someone throws out a anchor when I hit it because the car downshifts back to a lower gear and just feels like something is going to brake so I stopped riding the limiter until i get it taken off.

I was also burned by the GT2 All Season tires. Dealer clearly misadvertised the 19's and Kia is washing their hands off.

If I were to go the tuning route, would I be able to fit the far with staggered 19" Michelin Pilots like the originals? Or will the car be able to hanfle 18" Michelin Pilots?

You'll want to check the speed rating of whatever tire you run.

I understand that. I am just not sure how changing the wheels to the 19" wheel will affect the vehicle since my car came with the 18" wheels from the factory.

You can go up in size as long as your overall diameter doesn't change by much.

Any other words if your wheels get bigger your tires need to get smaller.

We have identified the limiters and raised them, verified on the dyno... now I have to find a road long enough to test it on.

How high did you get it to on the dyno?

do all stingers have a limiter of some sort or just the ones with all seasons?
I believe all of them do...the All Seasons just have them limited much lower.

Sales@Tork, do you know if the Kia tuned the AWD w/18" any different than the AWD with 19"? Meaning, if I were to swap the wheels to 19" and Michelins, would I have the same performance up to 130MPH?
