eBay Carbon Fiber Type S Spoiler

My spoiler came in yesterday. Got it put on and it looks great. I love it! Excuse my filthy car. Don’t worry, I prepped the surface. I love the look. It’s subtle, especially on my black car, but other car people will notice.

Do you remember which vendor you used on Aliexpress? Can you post more pics (side, rear, underneath)? I'm looking at ordering one now but I know there are multiple vendors and I'm trying to get a reliable one. Thanks.

I bought it from "EPR Store" aka EPR International. Looks great on the outside. Fit isn't perfect, but its close. you may have a little gap on both sides where the spoiler wraps around the trunk lid. Also, my edges lifted up after 1 highway trip at 75mph. I removed the spoiler and reinstalled using wider 3m tape. First attempt was with 3/8". Currently has 1/2", but the edges still lifted up. Pretty annoying. I saw a post on another forum that said to use modeling clay to fill/hide the small gap under the edges. I'm going to try that soon. Its been lifted on the edges the entire time and I drive 75+ mph on the highway every day, so the spoiler clearly isn't going anywhere. I think the shape isn't 100% perfect but that's expected for the price. I really can't complain. I'll post a few pictures later today to help you guys out (no really, i will). Overall, I'm happy with the spoiler and I've had quite a few compliments come my way.

Seems to me the lifting on the edges would be due to adhesion and not necessarily the product itself. Maybe due to the cold weather it's not sticking as well. You should try using some heat (heat gun or blow dryer) upon installation to see if it bonds better. That would be my suggestion. I'm more concerned about the quality of the product itself. I've noticed most spoilers have a little gap on either side of the decklid so I think that's normal. Looking forward to the pics ... for sure this time.

It’s a cold, rainy, dark day here in Pittsburgh, so these are the best I could do. My car is sinfully dirty. Try not to look at that haha

Look at the fitment in the second picture on the end...I'd stay away personally.

Thats likely a mounting issue , not an M&S design/fitment issue . These things are a bit tricky to mount ....................I have the Type S and it is a perfect fit :):)

Hey guys. So I reinstalled the spoiler, in the garage using heat, and let it sit for a few days (not by choice. I hit a deer and was waiting to take the car to the body shop. She’s all better now. See thread titled “heartbroken...”) and it’s sitting perfectly flush and looks way better. I think my issue was this: I installed the spoiler outside on a cool day and then I drove on the highway at 75mph 14 hours later. It started pulling up from the wind. I haven’t taken it on the highway yet since getting the car back (today) but after 2 weeks, the spoiler is still sitting how it was when I put it on. So, time will tell if it will lift again, but as of now, it’s good

Yeah but isn't this a replica of an m&s spoiler made of cf by a Chinese company? I own a type G m&s spoiler and mounted it myself so I'm aware of the fitment and mounting process of their stuff.

I ordered one of these and was very dissatisfied with the quality/workmanship. Yes, it is real Carbon Fiber but it appears to be made in two pieces. There's a seam that runs the length of the spoiler and the gap is very noticeable and uneven. Shouldn't these spoilers be made as one piece and not two bonded together? Anyway, I ended up returning it for a refund however, I had to eat the cost of return shipping. Initially, they wanted me to ship it to China even though it was shipped from a warehouse in CA. Had them give me a domestic address but still cost me $38. Lesson learned. I'll probably just buy a plastic spoiler and wrap it in Gloss Black Vinyl.

that's a good point. it does have a seam, but it doesn't bother me personally. I don't even notice it with the spoiler on the car, but i did when it got it. wrapping is a good option also. I figured if mine ever fades/tarnishes/discolors, I'll just wrap it. My fuel door and side reflectors are wrapped matte carbon, so it would actually match better. But i like the gloss carbon look better out of the two. gloss carbon wrap can be difficult to use in my experience
