Hello again...

I've been excited about getting a Stinger but a couple of things just happened.

1. Kia dealer's first allocation are all black interiors, a non-starter for me, and no news on next batch.
2. BMW dealer came back with a $9325 discount on a 2018 330xi GT, wiping out most of the difference between the cars, and they have the equipment/color I want now.

Still admire the Stinger, and will look twice when I see one in the wild...best wishes and many happy and safe miles ahead for all of you!

A couple of reasons...

1) Black looks dark/drab and feels more closed-in to me. Contrast that to the feeling of this combo in my 2 series...sporty, but open and spacious-feeling.
2) Most importantly, heat absorption. When temps are triple digits, black exteriors or interiors are not very helpful. I'm ordering a white car with light tan interior.

Ah, I see. I like the aesthetic of all black, but I definitely see your point about heat living in Texas. I'll be sure and get an aggressive window tint for my next car.

I live in Texas and own a black car with a black interior that sits on black asphalt all day. I know the heat lol! Still looking at a black interior tho. To each their own.

A black car with black interior that sits out in the texas heat will make you fall in love with remote start. I will never own another car without it.

It is, but if it is like all the other remote starts Kia sells your regular fob can be "trained" to start the car. The downside is the range is not near as far as the fob that comes with the system, and there is no light on the regular fob to let you know it started. I mentioned this in another thread, but will state it here as well. The remote start system Kia puts in is a third party system that is not all that great. There are quite a few other 3rd party systems that have way more features for the same or less cost..

I remember you saying the fob can be trained now that you (re)mention it. Sounds like, though, either way a different 3rd party choice is wise.

Stingers in Canada are equipped with UVO and can be started remotely from a mobile phone using an app! Great feature!
