So I want to try an e85 mix to get e30, I have a gas station that has e85 but it says 51-83% ethanol. Would adding 4 gallons of this be okay to run the Jb4 on map3? Also am I safe to continually do this mix to get e30?

I'd add 5 gallons of it, rest pump, and evaluate.

Think, I'll give this a try also.

Hi Terry I did a few quick pulls as I was on the highway. I got to a high of 19.4 boost, that's crazy. Could you check out the log for me. Thanks

Anyone getting e85 from the pump needs to purchase a test kit to see what you're actually getting. My pumps just now switched from their winter blend (reading e70-75) to the summer stuff (reads ~e85).

Just ordered a test kit from Summit.

What’s the recommended way to store E85? I don’t plan to run it often but I want to keep a jerrycan or two of it in the garage, or is that not advisable? And could I add some Stabil to extend the shelf life?

All n00b questions I’m sure.

I just have mine in race cans. Only have like 15 gallons (5 gal a piece). I thought about getting a 55 gallon drum and filling up, then running a manual pump. But I’ve been lazy lol.

Fantastic advice. I knew of these kits but wasn’t sure how they worked. The kit I ordered from Summit came today and the station I had used for my dyno run read at ~E85.

Ecko How did a E85 test kit give you a 104 octane number ? :) Wash

LOL!!! That’s not what the kit gave me, I wish that was the case. The octane label on the pump for E85 was 104

Just got my 2019 Stinger GTS, it’s got 10 miles on it and I’m ready to let it have a real beating. Just ordered my JB4 unit, and I’m going to be buying the HKS spark plugs. I want to run Map 3 and work my way up to Map 5. Found this thread while researching. If I run 5gal E85 and the rest pump 93, do I need E85 friendly hoses & conversion kit? If not I’m going to be one happy camper. Secondly, I don’t know if this is the right area to ask this question as I’m new to this forum: I heard a few exhaust clips on YouTube and I noticed some Stingers have that DCT shift noise that BMWs have. Are those cat deletes or what? I’m probably going to be removing my mufflers and possibly my cats, don’t know what to do as far as exhaust yet. Looking for some guidance. I don’t want drone or an obnoxious tone. Thanks in advance - Mike

Just add in 5-6 gallons of E85 and enjoy, nothing else needed!
