Does anyone know if the Australian cars have this feature to read the speed limit signs with fwd facing camera ? The manual says “ if fitted” but I don’t know if I have it or not, there is no sub menu in driver assistance that lets me set it up so I presume the answer is no.

Flying the space shuttle would be easier as the manual is thinner! Lol

I believe it is not fitted to OZ models.

I’d say no because there’s a couple of streets near me that have had speed limits decreased recently and the nav screen still shows the old speed limit. So presumably the camera is not reading the new signs.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The problem with reading speed limit signs is the assumption that the signs are there. In my highway travels throughout states like Oklahoma, you can leave a town and drive for dozens of miles with no signs telling you what the limit is where you are, especially after leaving a town back up to highway speeds. I guess they save money that way. Some signs are overgrown with tree branches or weeds, and it's a continual guessing game (and potential speed trap) to know what the limit is. I can't imagine that reading signs gives much advantage over using a database that you can change with your own updates.
