just got a new GT1 and looking at drive modes I’ve noticed that if I have it set on sport and get out, turn car off it always reverts back to comfort once I’m back in car and started it up. Is there anyway to set it to the mode I want as a default. Tha ks

I also just got a GT 1. From everything I’ve read it also defaults to comfort. I would really like to hear something different. There’s a huge difference between comfort and sport.

There is not. It will stay in "ECO", otherwise it always reverts to "Comfort".

Hi, Mark and Ronnie: funny way to start your introduction, you two. :D

Where are you guys from and what color did you get? You could put location in your profile and a bit about your cars in your signature.

Welcome to the forums! As others said, it defaults to Comfort at startup. The pain point for me is the auto shut off...I'd love to not default to that at startup. Anyways, enjoy your time browsing around, and ask away!

Thanks guys.
With all that it’s still a great ride. It combines comfort and sport really well. I avoid the auto shut off by putting it in manual. When that’s on the auto shut off is disengaged. Plus it more fun with the paddle shifters.

Lol. I completely forgot that putting the shifter in manual gate lobotomizes ISG. :D

The reason cars do this, is for emission regulations.

Interesting I always assumed it was for gas mileage. Shows you what I know. Any thoughts on breaking in the car? I know the manual says keep it under 4 grand for the first 1000 miles.

Ok Merlin, I’m from Houston and I got the Ceramic silver with the red interior. It’s a GT1. I traded in a 2016 Caddy ATSV. I thought the performance drop would be a lot more then it actually is. The Caddy was real tight and fast. However the ride on the Stinger is much better. Great car!

Interesting perspective. I seriously considered a used ATS-V before buying the stinger, but the lack of certain creature comforts (namely radar cruise and my hatred for cue) kept me out of it.

Welcome to the forum, nice color choice :)

The cue was horrible. They had to replace mine. It never worked right. Good choice staying away however the performance was amazing.
