Here is my quote from the dealership today. Only got 5.24% off MSRP. Its because i like the ceramic color. Funny thing the finance guy keep pointing at this sheet and said the tax bracket is wrong. It should be higher. Where the heck did it even said that?

Phil, your string of bad luck is really scaring me. Currently out of town, but looking to buy end of month. I believe you pay sales tax rate based on your registered address. Long Beach has a sales tax rate of 10.25, city of Los Angeles is 9.5. The dealer should have been more honest (at least more careful) when quoting you OTD price. I’ll try to share my experience as I starting getting quotes in a few weeks.

Hey good luck on your hunt but be careful that the dealer dont steal from you. I told them where i live because they asked before they quoted me. They tried to scam me out of more money for the car. There may be some Kia dealership out there that are forefront to the customers. But the ones i dealt with are robbers wearing a suit.

I find this calculator very useful. Mortgage Payment Calculator - Loan Amount = $31846.22 - Interest Rate = 0.9% - Loan Term = 5.5 years

I took advantage of Kia .9%. I was in the finance office. I was ready to take her home. Cant be more serious to buy than sitting in finance with a guy who will try to rip you off.

Car finance there is always a trap don’t fall for the low interest rate as there are lots limitations. Go to the bank get Pre approval then go shopping. Walk in smiling with no expectations and these guys may get a better vibe from you. Reading through your posts I can see you are peeved with them so you probably are giving off the same vibes to them and they will give it back. Sort out the finance with a bank or lease company first then tell them this is what I can afford. Blame the wife that always works cause if you blame some one else they can’t argue with that. Worked for me when I got my Stinger. Walked away with the car , 12 months rego and tax and insurance and extras for $65k AUD.
My old man used to sell cars so I know the tricks.

I am always a nice guy. I didnt irritate them through the process. I have good information in my head going into the process. They are robbers trying to take advantage of folks. I work hard for my money. Some people would probably doesnt care to loose a couple of hundreds because they give up fighting or just too in love with the car. Not me. I believe in good work ethics. You shouldnt be rewarded when you steal.

An update on my buying experience at Downtown LA. Despite of what occured last time Ricky called me. I guess hes one of the salesman negotiator?? He asked me how was my experience. I told him what happened so he said he will look into it. A little time later my sale guy Andy called me and said its been approved that i will get the price that was offered including the sales tax that someone made a mistake. I told him i am busy i will call him back. It took me several days to think about whats going to happen if i go there. Do i support working ethics by going to another dealership? But i thought about Andy. I have been negotiating with this guy for over a month. I want to give him the credit so i texted him. Unfortunately the car i was negotiating was sold. But Andy found the same car in their sister dealership. He went there to pick it before i came. Time spent in finance was a drag. I had better time with Nissan. So i finally did it i am an owner of 2019 GT1 in ceramic silver with red interior. Man i will miss Andy. Have you guys felt that after so many time spent on the phone with your sale guy or lady? Maybe i should send him a gift card. Downtown LA Kia fixed my problem. I dont know how to change it from Bad to Good. Maybe a new thread.
