Downpipes vs. Full Exhaust

There are 3” cat back systems available. I have one on mine with zero drone as it had extensive testing done to ensure this. Also Jonny tig has 3” cat back system on his.
What exhaust do you have?

Maybe he did some kind of under coating (not sure if the word is correct).

won't catless downpipes throw a code?

Theres no sensors on the DPs cats.
Interesting, so if i did dp and catback, theoretically i should get a good draw on hp without cel right? Or is there something im missin here? Ive seen catback exhausts, and it always leaves me wondering, where is the midpipe and catalytic converter? Newb question

Theoretically, yes. It should be a simple swap with no codes thrown since the DPs cats have no 02 sensors.

BUT, I don't know if it's worth it to buy new DPs. Jun Bls cost around $600. The only real restriction in the stock DPs are the cats. You could save yourself $500 and have an exhaust shop remove the stock cats.

Yeah I was debating whether i should just do that or buy new ones, i may even just get a complete custom exhaust instead, since i dont know if the mufflers make nuch a of a diff yet

From what I've been able to ascertain from videos, etc., we need to be very careful how much we open up the DPs/cats or we'll get an overboost code. I'm still waiting to hear more from @TorkMe on this.

Why does no one talk about back pressure here? I understand all turbo vehicles have a back pressure sensor that ensures proper air/fuel:boost ratios. The only reason I hesitate with down pipes on the Stinger is for this reason alone. You can actually lose significant torque with a poorly designed turbo exhaust.

Hello?

Lol, idk enough about exhaust to chime in on the subject, the forum can be a hit or miss for responses, ive people get the information they want and then nvr log back on here.
