Door Frame Ticking / Squeaking Elimination

I just ordered felt and silicone spray from amazon. I am getting some noises from 3 out of the 4 doors! Thank you so much for the guide. I am hoping this will help.

I got around to doing the front two doors today. Pretty simple. I did go one step further and removed the rubber surround on the door. Easy to remove but I did break one pin. The pins have a rubber o-ring but a few were missing. I cut a little hole in the strips of the felt and covered all the holes.

Now it's raining but I want to get the rear done as well. I had a terrible noise on the rear passenger door that went away on its own. Hopefully next weekend the weather is better and I can finish up.

The front doors are absolutely silent now. So silent that I now hear the rear passenger again. It was the first to be making noise. I thought it went away but I guess the drivers door was drowning it out. I might do the rear doors this evening.

Also I added two dimes(only thin metal I had around!) under the striker plate on the drivers door. The door always felt like it had a little wiggle room. Now it's snug.

What kind of felt tape did you use and where did you buy it. I took my stinger to dealer twice and they still cant figure it out. thank

Hey that's great and you did the striker too! Glad you've got success as I did with the front.

My rear passanger door recenly started making noise at normal speeds. It sounds like a creaking/rattling in the panels and such. was planning on taking to the dealer, but will try the recommended remedy first. I hope it eleiminates the issue, because it's driving me nuts!

That's the first door that I had issue with. It's been perfect since I applied the remedies above.

I'm not clear on what the silicone is being applied to here, can someone clear that up? Gonna have to be doing this for most of my doors unfortunately.

I did the entire rubber seal around the doors. Careful though as the silicone is hard to get off the plastic parts.

What metal peace did you use??

New thread follower here - I am going to start out by working on the door striker first before touching the rubber lining. The test will be my commute to work on Tuesday, stay tuned!
