When I test drove the Stinger GT a few days ago I noticed a grab handle over my head - on the driver's side, that my hat was touching a little, which is why I turned to see what it was and noticed the grab handle.

Now when I look at pictures of the Stinger's interior online, I do NOT see a grab handle in the front on the driver side. Do you all have a grab handle on the front/driver side in your Stinger GT?

I wonder why I can't find a picture anywhere showing the grab handle. I was thinking maybe they installed one that's not supposed to be there? To be honest the grab handle stuck out a lot I thought, and interfered with not only the "head room", but with my hat too. I usually wear a hat.. I am going back tomorrow and will pay closer attention to that handle to see if it's going to be a problem because I am over 6'1 and head room was tight. That handle seemed to be out of place and in the way.

I think so, but not positive.... Hold on. Let me check.... out to garage....................... Yup, there's a handle there.
I'm 6'0. Have only worn a ball cap. Never touched.

No handle on my drivers side but I’m RHD obviously. I have a handle on the passenger (left) side and both rear seats. Do you have a handle on both fronts or just the left?

Grab handle on both fronts. Which Stinger model do you have that there is no handle on the front driver side?

I guess the cars have different configurations Down Under..

Thanks for checking! I guess this still doesn't explain why there is no grab handle in any of the pics online, unless only certain models get both grab handles up front. IMO I don't think there is a need for a grab handle for the driver. Why would the driver use that? Driver's hands should be on the wheel.

Handle aids getting in and out of the vehicle

Yes. I am 6' 3" and wear a ball cap. The handle doesn't quite get in the way. I have the seat lowered as far as it will go.

I guess. I never had any use for it, but I am starting to develop some back problems so you never know.

I am 6'1.5" and didn't like it when I lowered the seat too much so that the grab handle wasn't in my head's way. All I saw was the hood of the car which I don't like that much. I like to look down on the hood and see more of the road. I was surprised the hood was so high up.. It's a long hood I guess and not used to that.

It's the gran turismo look/feel. Kia went on about the hood design and the length of it, in their promotional magazine. It was one of the first described features that I noticed was strictly accurate when I did my test drive. And, being low with a long hood contributes to curb rash! Yes, it took some getting used to.

Rear visibility might not be up to snuff but you might like one of these...

Yes on handles on both sides, but they are spring-loaded against the roof liner and not obtrusive at all. I've owned other vehicles where they are permanently "sticking out" but usually just on the passenger side.

.. which is why I would not buy my Stinger until the 360º camera was available. I've never "curbed" a car but after living with my ex gf's low-slung 'merc - that had the cam - I realized I might regret not having it one day.

Mine is a GT which is GT2 in America.
For some strange reason the cars I’ve owned don’t have a divers side grab handle either, must be a compliance thing here or something.

Can't say I had noticed up until now, but yep no handle on driver side.
