Mine is yellow, 12/17 build, headlight chips/flakes only at this point. PPF on full front

What is interesting is that none of these issues.....paint, fuel pumps on the 2.0, hatch rattles, etc have made it onto carcomplaints.com. Zero, nada, nothing. I wasn’t expecting dozens of them, but there is not a single logged complaint.

I have been holding my breath (1 week to go now) to see what Kia does to sort this issue.

I promise you that if my case is not sorted relatively quickly, you will see a guy with a name very similar to mine posting there. I won't make the social media "threat" that has no become commonplace in today's world, but it seems that sometimes that is the only way to get the needle to move.

Figure it is like this, make the complaint, wait for some resolution, see if that resolution is reasonable.

If not - complain once more, then upon no reasonable remedy - Twitter/FB/etc.

*** Update (#2) ****
Just got off of the phone with Kia again. LOL - now the answer is NOT 2 weeks any more.

Now it is "sometime soon".

Sigh. At least Brian is a nice guy and calmed me somewhat. His answer was to the effect of: "Kia of Korea is working on something but I cannot comment"

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Did you ask if they are sending the answer by way of message in a bottle?

I'm not sure what's going on there, but I am having strong flashbacks of why I stopped buying Fords.

Now, I am seriously starting to regret not waiting for the G70. At least the other side of the Kia/Hyundai wall seems to have finally gotten their act together. I still have 4 months on my 2015 V8 lease and a few miles to burn so I have been driving that one more now, which is a shame.

I read on another thread So I am dropping my Stinger off for Repaint... where one guy's repaint did not go so well (allegedly - no pics).

Maybe I will go to Kia Stinger body / paint Problems put my voice in there.

Just an update here, the service manager at my dealer called back. He said they waiting for his district manager to hear back exactly what they are doing to fix the issue from Korea. He also mentioned Black and Blue being effected. He mentioned they are trying to see what went wrong during production and that they want the repair to be done right so now I'm waiting.

I am ok with waiting and hopeful the right thing is done, for me it's a lease I planned on buying out. But depending on how this turns out I might just hand it back( if it was not for this I love this car) and I've had everything from STI to Q50)

You would think an "official announcement" would have been made before agreeing to fix issues.

You mean wheel well? Or the actual wheel?

Actual wheel. So, as of now that I've noticed, the passenger door and one of the wheels. Less than 3,000 miles....

You guys seriously need to start demanding manufacturer buybacks. Enough is enough.

I do not see a buyback happening at all.

Do you have a pic of your damaged wheel? I've never heard of paint, or otherwise coating, failing on a wheel.

Demanding? How does that work? "Buy my car back or else!" Or else what?

I'll post in the morning once I can move my car (it's in for the evening and the garage is too tight to squeeze between my wife's car and mine).

And I agree with you. Generally, my vehicles have never had chipped clear coat or paint. Corrosion, curb damage, sure, sometimes...but not chips.

I had vowed to take good care of these wheels with consistent cleaning since the polished aluminum wheels from my Camaro experienced corrosion/clear coat damage due to improper storage in winter (I had two sets of wheels and tires). The first cleaning of these wheels and lo and behold, chiparoo.

Here are a couple of mine,8 total across the car, majority on the hood
