There's a MB in AUS with similar. Kia replaced under warranty. There have been a couple of others but warranty has initially been denied and I'm not aware of subsequent outcomes.

The worst one that comes to mind is a Ceramic Grey that had roof rails and all chrome door trim badly crazed. Dealer claimed owner has used incorrect wash solutions. I don't know how it ended up.What was the justification for denying warranty on something like that?
That's clearly a failure of the paint.
All the horror stories that exist are concentrated right here. Look at the individual cases: not that many compared to total Stinger owners on this forum. It's just that when you get updates on this thread, and they are pretty regular, it seems like a lot.So many paint horror story's over the last year and a half. The brand damage to Kia's halo car could possibly mean a short run life for our beasts?
While I would agree mostly Merlin, the yellow fiasco became news across more than this forum. Unfortunately we all know that Kia’s reputation has not gotten better over the past few years in terms of servicing their customers. All the horror stories that exist are concentrated right here. I think that most of the resprays of the Yellow were satisfactory. There were some exceptions, of course, and we heard about some of them on the forum. A couple are like timebombs: the resprays failed a year later. While I would agree mostly Merlin, the yellow fiasco became news across more than this forum. @Deaddudehangin taken altogether, that looks like some contaminants under the color, against the primer base. But as you say, pictures. Heh. It is possible that an impact was acute enough to pierce right through to the primer, and then over time moisture lifted the surrounding paint.
But, do I see other, much smaller, "pits" nearby (in particular directly above the large one)? Or is that a trick of the reflecting light?
I'm looking at these like Kia would, and they look like impacts. If you touch them up and get PPF, I bet your troubles will be over.So right above it was just some dirty, I went ahead and wiped around the area and of course the paint let go and now it a giant chip, I left a bit of the paint next to it. Also added a picture with a penny for size.View attachment 31458 View attachment 31459
This I took of the upper part of the bumper and would classify this as a "normal chip" from a rock or w/eView attachment 31460
Now here is something new I saw today. Under the drivers side head light, I get the chip to the left, sure that could be a rock but this weird bubble?View attachment 31461
And slightly further down on the bumper is thisView attachment 31462
Here is it zoomed in

This almost looks like the hood chip but still together
There has been much talk in the past about other owners suffering from marks under the headlights. The general consensus is that there is some movement from the lights causing friction. In your case it could be this or a stone chip?
The "headlight chipping issue" is directly under the lower, forward corner of the headlight assembly, and is caused by rubbing. This is not in contact with the headlight assembly. There has been much talk in the past about other owners suffering from marks under the headlights. I'm not sure of your use of "quarter panel". It looks like the top pic is of the underside of the rear passenger door. To be under the driver's door it would be the rocker panel in the second pic. So, one on metal, one on plastic. They both look like paint simply flaked off for no reason or cause. I agree that neither looks like the paint was impacted.I have two paint issues on my 2019 GT2. Bought the car on August 15th. I know these are not from debris on the road. Going to the dealership after work. One is on the back right quarter panel. The second is under the driver side door.
Any thoughts?

I would take that to the best auto body shop in your city and ask them before you take it to Kia , it doesn't look like a stone chip to me either . Get a professional opinion because your dealer will likely have an excuse and put the blame on you ..............I have two paint issues on my 2019 GT2. Bought the car on August 15th. Looks like the paint just “fell off”. Is there other “loose” paint around those areas? Put some tape on each and give it a pull. If poor adhesion you could make a real mess but at least it would prove a point.I have two paint issues on my 2019 GT2. Bought the car on August 15th. I know these are not from debris on the road.
