Oh got it yeah the stock plugs would be fine if it was not running additional boost I’m told. I’ve heard the porcelain can overheat and begin to crack, Although it could be a wise tale

Apparently you can run the stock plugs gapped on map1 only but anything higher is a no-no. Not sure how many guys are doing it though when it just makes sense to upgrade just as a precaution.

Lots of people have run regapped stock plugs on map 2... From what I've read the stock plugs are pretty good.

I ran stock plugs for about 6 months on map 2.
With no issues. I moved to map 3&4 and found the porcelain was looking a bit light in colour so I changed to Denso’s it’s running well but I haven’t inspected them yet.

Yes it would misfire even on map 1 with OE plugs not regapped. No issues at 0.22
