I have a love for fast cars also ( Genesis 5.0 ) the two don’t go together as you can see from my picture. I hope the deers can see me coming now ( Yellow GT ) but I heard there color bind. I guess I will slow down. I love my Stinger. Let’s all drive sensible.

Welcome aboard @Yellow Stinger!

Sorry to hear you had to surrender your Genesis. Based on your images it certainly served you well.

Definitely a rough way to get into a Stinger, but I know you will enjoy it.

Again welcome, best wishes and safe travels!

Yeah, I was a reserve deputy sheriff for over 20 years. We usually worked the night shifts on Friday and Saturday nights (and Saturday and Sunday days). I always dreaded having to run "code" at night here in SW Missouri. Hitting a deer is like hitting a wet sack of cement at highway speeds. Never hit one, but had some hairy (pun intended) close calls. You'll love the LED lights on the Stinger at night.

Can’t always blame the deers. It was early before sunrise and I was traveling at about 90. It was a wake up call that in a blink of an eye you can lose your life. I travel at normal speeds now. Thanks for the reply. Be careful out there.

Congrats on a very good looking yellow edition (not avail in Canada) and safe travels from here on out.

Welcome aboard and Congratualtions on the GT. Glad to see you were able to walk away form that incident.

Nice and Congrats on your Stinger!

What I found unusual about deer if you drive slowly by them they'll run the other way if you drive fast they'll walk out in front of you .

Yeah. The deer I hit was on a Sunday stroll. Poor thing didn’t even see me coming or at least till my lights caught his eyes.

This looks like your official introduction, so, welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Well, I hope nobody got hurt in that collision. Of course, the deer did... But hopefully he/she didn't even know what hit him... Otherwise, congratulations on your new Stinger!

Curious, do those "whistle" things that stick on the front of the car actually repel deer? Always have seen them at stores like Cabella's but not sure if they're legit.

Thanks and there was no injuries except for the deer. But I did need to sit there for a moment and think. The car spun into a corn field.

This is one of our KIA Rio's that we had bought for our Au Pair. She hit a deer at about 50MPH on Route 17 just north of Fredericksburg. She was shaken up, but walked away. Crazy thing is she was about 10 miles away, and drove it home. The deer ran off after she hit it, but with all of the "deer parts" left on the car, I can not imagine it survived.
