Has anyone in the US gotten their oil changed at the dealer yet? If so what did it cost you?

I asked my dealer and they said they haven't built the cost yet because the GT will take 8 quarts of synthetic and there are only 3 Stingers in the area so Im the first to ask. Im expecting around $100 but wanted to see what others have been paying.

I think my Mobil 1 oil change was $80. I didn’t look too closely since my first oil change was free.

Mine was $37 :) Synthetic blend, I tried to pay for Full Synthetic but they said the blend was fine.

My first change is free but my dealer told me only synthetic.

I just paid $90 for full synthetic, and a 4 tire (2.0t Premium) tire rotation. I know I am not a 3.3, but just to give others with the 2.0t an idea.

I brought my own oil, Mobil 1 5w-30, and paid $27 US to get my car back. :)

Kia dealer quoted me $52 for full synthetic oil change but upon further investigation I learned they would fill with oil from a tanker truck bulk delivery service.

I’ve read a lot of horror stories about such oil being deficient even when customer thinks they’re getting “full synthetic” so I opted for Penzoil Platinum full synthetic at my local Firestone for $90 including tax. It was worth the extra peace of mind to me.

I had first Penzoil Platinum oil change at 500 miles, now again at 3,000 miles. From here on I’ll monitor the oil and likely go with 6,000 mile intervals.

My Kia dealership use to run an oil change plan in which u get 4 oil changes for $79.99. I was useing this plan for a few years with them on my Optimas and my sorento and they recently increased it to $109 for 4 oil changes. Great deal for all my Kia cars

There is no way that’s full synthetic at $27 an oil change right?

I forgot to update the thread but my dealer finalized their pricing and it is $102 for Mobile 1 full synthetic.

For the future reference of people reading this, If you are going to do an early change then I would do that first change with a conventional (Dino) oil and then run it out to at least 5000 miles in order to ensure the rings fully seat. I have seen it mentioned that Kia requires the techs to specifically use a conventional oil for engine replacements they have done recently on the 2.0T recalls. Apparently they specify conventional use only on the first fill and that it must be run to 5000 miles before changing to synthetic in order to ensure the rings to seat properly. I’d bet these engines are coming with some kind of conventional oil for break-in purposes from the factory.

I added the lifetime free oil change when I purchased the vehicle. But i forgot to ask what type of oil would be used. I would imagine manufacturer spec.

Bought my own oil at walmart mobil 1 full synthetic on sale 22 dollars and bought oil filter from kia dealers with a 20 percent discount and the hyunday dealer did the oil change for 25 out the door...i didnt go the kia dealer i went to a hyunday dealer

got my first change and dealer used a synthetic blend. funny thing - they said it takes a little longer to do an oil change on a stinger b/c the master tech is the only one allowed to do work on a stinger. I call BS but who knows...

Paid $90 for full synthetic oil change and same jargon about having only one Stinger Master Tech.

~$80 full synthetic at the local dealer we bought our Optima from. Techs are nice as hell, and they tol me that they only use Mobil-1 (plus it advertised in the service drive lol) so I'm good. I figure $80 is cheap peace of mind that they've had their hands in it if something goes sideways.

My first oil change is a free one from the dealer too. If it’s not a major brand (Mobil 1) full synthetic I’ll just do what I’ve been doing. Bring my own oil and filter to a local change service and pay labor.

My first one was free but looks like it would have cost $66.99 (7 qts at 3.57 each, 11 bucks for the filter, plus labor) if I had paid.
