I’m with MerlintheMad. If nothing is actually cracked or broken, some touch up paint and a little buffing would probably make it unnoticeable from a standing height.Touchup.
This evening, as we passed a copse of trees, several black, white-faced cows started to cross the road in my rearview mirror: on that highway the warning signs alert drivers to watch out for free ranging cattle; nearly every time I drive that highway I see cows standing on the road or moving across it.As I'm just at the exit, there's a COW!!!! in the middle of the lane.
What sensor? The radar cruise control one? Yeah if you don't don't want to use radar cruise control and if it's not throwing a code then just drive without radar cruise control. Now if it's messing with the emergency brake system then it's best to unplug it. You can drive with it unplugged (ask how I know) but don't unplug the front harness as that will mess up your car. Like rpms not working and a bunch of other stuff. Ask me how I know lolSo I received a call that the repair on my Stinger was complete but they're having a hard time calibrating the front sensor. The body shop brought in a 3rd party to try and calibrate it but they couldn't do it so the car is being scheduled to be brought to the dealer. It could be some time before the dealer can take it so my question is, can they just disable the front sensor so I can take the car back until the dealer is ready for it? I'd rather be in possession of the car than let it sit at the body shop for a couple weeks. Can't believe how much I miss my car. My wife actually misses it too. I'm driving a beat up Elantra rental and that leaves A LOT to be desired. Buzzkill......
Get the car back and take it to the dealer yourself imo. Its your car id go over there and claim it.So I received a call that the repair on my Stinger was complete but they're having a hard time calibrating the front sensor. Ok cool thanks Vodka. Yeah I think it's the front sensor in the middle of the grill. I assume its for the cruise control, lane keep assist and collision warning all of which I never use/need. Ill see if they can just unplug it til I can get it to the dealer. Thanks again! What sensor? The radar cruise control one? You will still most likely have lane assist because it uses the camera by the mirror and not the radar unit.Ok cool thanks Vodka. Yeah I think it's the front sensor in the middle of the grill. Correct, SCC and EAB use the behind grille radar sensor. LKA/LKW uses cameras, and the ultrasonic sensors in the bumpers are for the close proximity alert. You will still most likely have lane assist because it uses the camera by the mirror and not the radar unit.
