Hey guys. So i have decided to custom built ny exhaust system. Well fhe intention was to emulate what is already in the market. So here is my set up:
- 2.5 inch on the pipes
- Cat back system
- Introduced an H pipe as oppose to an X pipe (stock)
- Replaced the stock resonators with SS sports resonators
-Followed by one sports resonator each before the tail pipe.
Verdict:
It is loud! The sound of the car at cold start sounds amazing. The growl intended was achieved from the H pipe. It has a really nice crackle everytime i release the throttle. However, the drone is abit too loud at low revs. Loud enough to annoy me when im crusing on the freeway. I measured 80db (idling) next to the tailpipes and it can easily go up to 100db if not 110db when i throttle. Cabin measured at 70db (idling) at the backseat and 60-67db in the driver seat. Cabin goes up to 80db. Its annoying because i cant hear my harmon kardon speakers haha.
Whats next?
Managed to get my hands on a custom valvetronic system. Replacing the two sports resonator at the back and installing these new babies in. Believe it or not this custom built valvetronics i got my hands on are magnaflow. So i cant wait what sound ill get. I will definitely upload a video. This is a trial and error but im excited. In the mean time this is the current set up. Will upload the new video when the new setup is in. I cant seem to load a video here cuz the file is too big. Maybe ill give u guys a link in my next post
