I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to Crown Kia in Dublin (Columbus), Ohio. I had gone to them over the summer looking at a CPO 2018 GT and a CPO 2018 Premium, but unfortunately we couldn't come to terms on the price. I went back to them recently when I decided to pick up a new GT, and the experience couldn't have been much better. They were able to accommodate my somewhat inconvenient requirement that I never set foot inside the dealership because of COVID, and the folks I dealt with were professional and gracious throughout the whole process. For anyone in the Central Ohio area looking to get a Kia of any kind, I would certainly recommend them.

Surprised by how many Columbus Stinger owners there are on here
Agreed. I don't think I've seen another Stinger on the road, yet there see to be a lot of us here on the forum....

Great call on Crown Kia! That is where I picked up mine from as well. Very easy relaxed process and what I thought was a pretty great deal. I have a post in here about them as well. I have had 2 great purchases from their chain (Stinger and a 2015 Chrysler 300S). A former co-worker of mine also had a great experience with his Scat Pack a few years back and also always recommends them.

I have seen a few Stingers out and about, but not many. I did get the pleasure of meeting up with TheBusch a few weeks ago, but that has been it as far as meeting. There is a father/son team that both have Stingers and run an Ohio Facebook group and do hit some of the local car shows in town. I recommend joining up! Group is the buzz off stinger society (BOSS) of Ohio

Congratulations on joining the Stinger family!

My buddy had some good and bad things to say about Crown Kia. They damaged a couple things while working on his Stinger, the big one was his front passenger door. They took about a month to get the car back to him and then the none of the electronics were working on the door. They made everything right but it really shouldn't of happened to begin with.

I’ll give a shout out to their service department so far.

I bought my stinger at another dealer, but didn’t want to use their service because I had a bad experience with them with my forte koup. So I looked up based on google reviews, and so far Crown has been good.

They tracked down a wind noise by taking parts off until they found the culprit. They charge so little for oil changes that I don’t see how they make any money off them. I couldn’t buy 7 quarts of 0w30 full synthetic and the oem filter for what they charge me. My service rep is a fellow gear head and is very knowledgeable about the mods I have and answers questions about future mods too. He actually encourages us to mod our beasts lol. Says that Kia is trying to get into the racing scene with this car, and wants stingers representing on every track and test n tune in the country. Says that Kia wants us to push these cars so they can see how they do, and has never seen Kia deny a warrantee claim because of mods yet.

Anyways, so far I’m happy with Crown service department.

I will second that to this point.

They are a StingerHaus dealer.
They helped another customer modify their Stinger when I purchased mine. This included cutting the diffuser to help make custom tips fit their aftermarket exhaust.
They did an outstanding job getting the glass replaced in front of the sunroof. Zero issues and zero rattle since.

Worthy of making a car purchase from and so far worth the service.

The only drawback I see is that they can be very very short staffed at times. I will be watching how this effects things as I get my service done.

Yes they helped me too and I forgot to mention it in my comment.

At my last service I just mentioned that I wasn’t happy with the connection I made where my magnaflow cat back exhaust connects to the stock pipe. I was getting a lot of exhaust leak there and couldn’t tighten it any further. I mentioned that if they could have a look while it’s on the lift and tell me if I did something wrong or need a better gasket or something.

When I got it back he said his tech looked at it and tightened it up but that there would always be some leakage there it’s normal for a bolt on and not to worrry about it. When I looked at home I see that they replaced the bolts and the leak is greatly improved. They charged me zero for this. A dealer! Charging nothing for fixing up an aftermarket part that I installed incorrectly myself. Sure it probably only took a couple of minutes, but it’s even on the work order and has $0 charge. That kind of blew me away.

@David Bee & @OhioStateStinger - Have either of you asked their parts department to match an online price? Ultimately I'd like to get the winter mats and maybe the remote starter, both of which are available for far cheaper (i.e. below MSRP) than a dealer would normal charge.

I have not either, but it is certainly worth a conversation. Everything at a dealership is negotiable

I am debating on grabbing a set myself. I am seeing $126 on Amazon, but to be fair I have not seriously looked yet. What are you seeing?

Best price I've seen is $120 + free shipping at OEM Kia Superstore. A few other places have them for less, but the shipping charges push the price up over $120.

Thanks for the feedback on this dealer. I'm still trying to line something up closer to Pittsburgh, but they've currently given me the best deal I've been able to negotiate via e-mail so far.
Good to hear they are working with you. Best of luck with either route you go!

I noticed that a GT and a GT1 have both disappeared from Crown's website. Did you buy one of these?

Nope! I was talking to them about the GT2 in Ceramic Silver. I have a PA dealer closer to me that's getting two in next week so going to see if I can make something happen with them first.

That’s great to hear! I got mine at another dealership in the area. I too live in the north Columbus area. Glad to hear Kia encourages mods. Also, nice to see so many central ohio owners now!
