CPO Stinger Brake Vibration Questions

After reading here and doing some research on the web I am wondering if I have to put new rotors on. They turned them yesterday but my new pads will not be here until Friday. I am driving easy but I am wondering if it will be okay to pu the new Girodisc pads on the rotors after putting 150 or so miles on the rotors since the turn?

How many total miles on the current rotors?

12,700. You are right about cementite, lots of material to read on that. I don't want to do this again in a short time. I don't see spots on the rotors but again they were just turned.

You typically can't see the cementite, only the pad material burned on top (blue or black spots). Tell the dealer you have been researching the issue and that turning the rotors is only a temporary fix and that you are interested in a permanent one. Suggest them putting new rotors on and you will provide aftermarket pads to resolve the issue. It wouldn't hurt to print a few of the articles about cementite where they say the problem will return with turning the rotors. If I were you, try to get the dealer to give you new rotors. If they won't, then try the new pads on the stock turned rotors. Maybe you will be fine. Of course if this is more trouble than you think it is worth, you can purchase new stock rotors (or aftermarket). My dealer said their cost is around $100 per side. They may split the cost if your argument is compelling enough. If money is no object, then pick the best and be done with it.

Warranty on brakes is 12k miles. So he is out of the warranty period. However if the dealer is nice and willing to listen to him they may oblige with a warratny claim. More likely he will need to call the KIA VIP line to get the dealer to change the rotors.

I went through the same situation and was only able to get the disks cut. Going to wait for these to wear or for the issue to come back to get the girodisks.
