WOW! And WOW again.

Fingers crossed that price is right for the U.S. It does say "starting under" $52,000 Canadian, but it lists all the features I'm holding out for. What is there left to add, just AWD and heated seats?

Edit: OH! Canada isn't getting RWD, so this IS the AWD price.

I got unexcited when I saw the Australian price disappointment, but the Canadian price of $52,000 for the top-end model translates to about $42,000 US, so I'm getting excited again!

At that price point should compare to the fully loaded regal gs which makes cents correct me if I'm wrong but the cadensa is a comparable price to the lacrosse.

I would be beyond ecstatic if Canadian pricing translated directly to US pricing. For every car, never mind just the Stinger. But alas, they are pretty far off.

For example, the C43 AMG sedan would start at $45700 and the BMW 340i xDrive would start at $44700. But they don't. They are $53400 and $50,950, respectively. Which would translate to 66,200 and 63154 CAD. Which would make them 8000 to 9000 CAD more expensive than they actually cost in Canada.

So add another ~7 grand to the price conversion. Which puts us right back in the same ballpark that at least some of us think is several thousand too much.

I don't think that's true. I just looked at the bmw canada site and the M2 is acutely priced a bit higher in canada after the conversion

Audi A5 sportback about 800 to 1000 higher in canada after conversion

I think the real question here is, is the rumored Canadian price correct?

Sorry to say that the M2 and A5 are exceptions. Lets look directly at Kia Canada for models like the Stinger:

K900 base 49,950 CAD
K900 base 49,900 USD

Cadenza Limited 45,795 CAD
Cadenza Limited 44,390 USD

It's on a Kia Canada official website, so probably yes.

I won't repeat it here, but I also did a comparison of Optima prices, US and Canadian, on the "How much will you spend?" thread. Just conjecture, but . . .

Too right Gt price in Aust $59,500 and that isn't the drive away price. I won't tell you what I've payed.

It's like a rollercoaster. One second I'm thinking of the possibilities...the next, I'm writing off the car entirely....Then I start wondering if I could live with the 2.0....then, I remember I don't really like the 2.0 in the Hyundai Sonata...but that's front wheel drive, which isn't as fun to drive...but then again, The Sonata is much lighter, so the 2.0 will probably feel much slower in the Stinger.....and now ...... if the exchange rates are correct indicators......Ugh....All I really know is that The Stinger GT is a great looking car and it seems like it will have the performance I desire. I want the true $$$ figures.

Woah so it is below 42k USD fully packed. If they will manage to maintain similar price in Russia count me in.

I am ALL IN on this if I can get a GT limited for $42k here in the states. I wont even have to think about it. I'll be driving it off the lot the day it's released.

More likely though it will be over $45k which will make me seriously contemplate it.... I'm probably out on anything much over that mark.

I'll go up to 46 k tax tag title on the road

Canadian Pricing is $46995 for GT (6 AWD) and $51995 for GT LIMITED, at the moment only the 6 cyl can be pre ordered. 4 cyl may either be later production or not available in Canada at all for 2018.

Cheers,
Rob
