Hey everyone, got a 2022 Kia stinger gt2 with 40k miles on it and it’s been throwing a po420 code a good bit, tried using an exhaust cleaner hoping it’d go away to no luck. Thinking of replacing the o2 sensor and if that doesn’t work then it’s definitely the cat. The car should still be under warranty, but it’s got the JB4 tune, hks blow off valves, injen intakes and a secondary downpipe with MBRP exhaust system. Was wondering if with all those mods it could still be covered? I’ll definitely remove the tuner before going in but I’d like to know if anyone else dealt with this and how’d it go.

Did you go into limp mode when you throw the code? over boost is common in 22+ GT. EWG wires for the jb4 + reducing FF (feed forward) to 40 seems to do the trick for most people.

Heres a full thread on it. To all my overboost boi's

The MBRP exhaust should not affect the warranty. The other mod’s could be a problem. My understanding is that any mod’s before the MAF and after the secondary cat’s do not affect warranty.

Not that im aware of no, how do I know if I go into limp mode? I was thinking of getting ewg wires but when looking at logs my boost psi never goes above 18 unless I release throttle but that should be normal. Can I reduce feed forward to 40 without the wires and see if that helps? Or would I need them to do that? What does that even do? I’m really new to this whole thing
