The GT2 we bought in January is not getting many miles on it, partly due to the virus. We are taking fewer long trips and the mileage on our car is only 3641 miles after nearly 6 months. It seems like such a waste. At least AAA insurance is sending us rebates on our policy. Oh well!

I feel your pain, and my situation is worse then yours since I leased my car on 2/27/20 and I have approximately 1600 miles on her.
I happy though that StateFarm for the month of July 2020 dropped my insurance by nearly $45.00 and for my wife’s 2020 Santa Fe Limited close to $50.00.
We are also saving on gasoline, at a time when it is as cheap as in recent memory. I need to check my manual, but I suppose I will need an oil change this month since 6 months have passed.

Even though it really was not due for an oil change, I took advantage of using the free one I received from the dealer just yesterday.
I have been putting into the car Super Unleaded, but even at Sams Club the prices for that grade is $2.64; there was a time it was sitting at $1.49.
I have the opposite issue; I've driven over 10k miles in the last few months. When work decided they would need to furlough 25% of us, I was first in line to volunteer for time off. I've used the free time to road trip and see some of the states I'd never been to. The fact that gas was cheaper (and Discover's 5% cashback category for the quarter was gas/fuel) was icing on the cake.
I just picked up my lease at the end of February and I've only put on 2700kms in 4 months. I would have racked up at least another 800kms just going to the gym and back at lunch, if it wasn't closed.
I picked up the lease with 16,000kms a year, so needless to say I have some extra miles in reserve now.
I have driven quite a bit more since the start of this. However, there were restrictions when it was really bad that I did not drive at all. Since we are in phase 2 I have driven quite a bit more. I do take precautions though and I am safe. I always wear a mask in public. I take food/drinks with me. I wear gloves when pumping gas. If the weather is nice i'm in the car. I have put 20k miles on my car in the 11 months I have had it.

Where is your data coming from? I just read that there were less than 39,000 fatalities from auto accidents in 2018. Over the past few months there have been over 129,000 deaths from Covid 19. many, if not most experts believe this is an underestimate of the true number of Covid 19 deaths, since the overall death rate so far his year is significantly above the norm, even after subtracting this 129,000.
