For Sale Cool Guy Car For Sale

They are very heavy cars. The ride is more soft and plush than my Stinger. In comfort mode, it's kind of like driving a fast low riding Lincoln Navigator. There's one special curve on my way to work where I'd take the Stinger up to over 80-85mph. I feel less secure taking the same curve at the same speed in the BMW. It may be able to handle it, and it may be because the car is still new to me, but the Stinger felt more planted. I think it is geared more toward fast cruising on the highway than thrashing around twisties or drag racing.
We are going to miss you around here Kam but congrats on the new wheels. I totally would’ve bought your thermal exhaust btw ;)

Paging @westcoastGT . Note quote above:rolleyes:......."There's one special curve on my way to work where I'd take the Stinger up to over 80-85mph. I feel less secure taking the same curve at the same speed in the BMW.":geek::laugh:
To be fair you could easily say the same when comparing a Civic Type R and the Stinger. The Type R is less money and although not as fast in a straight line will obliterate the Stinger on a road course. Sometimes comparing a single vehicle attribute doesn't tell the whole story.

@westcoastGT said: "ya BUT , an AWD 550 MSport will walk the doors off our Stingers straightline , on a track and especially in the twisties , excellent driving dynamics !! 455 HP . 480lb Torque ..............but they start at $75 K"

If you wore a hat. I would be asking you to eat it. As you can see below a 1/4 mile trap of 113.046 and eta of 12.281 is NOT walk the doors off a Stinger stats. Now for you own personal edification I would like to humbly suggest you flip over to the Official 1/4 mile thread and view the track numbers that @Tonkabob has so kindly compiled for us "Stinger enthusiasts".

Last point/blither........I promiss:D.......Your reference to stock to stock is moot:poop:. It's more like 50kCDN for my top of the line Stinger vs $97,200 for a 2020 BMW (similar optioned)M550i XDrive Sedan. Hardly a fair discussion but yet we see the Stinger in it:):). So technically to even things up the Stinger owner gets to spend another $47,200 just to get to stock to stock. Now fair race. But seriously a few bucks of mod on a small 6 cylinder 50k Stinger vs a large 8 cylinder 100k M550 or as close to a 100k as dam is near swearing you could still considered falling under the guidelines of stock to stock:geek:. I guess I just don't get the infatuation with BMW or the prices folks are willing to play for them. Mybe I should go drive one:whistle:.Ok done now:eek:. And this ones for the Stinger owers we have lost to them:cry:.

why does everything become stinger vs xxx car? these arent even in the same class. Sorry stinger owners, (myself included) you can dream big but these cars are two different classes of car. Congrats OP that is one hell of a machine!

One person is saying if you add the differences in modifications on the stinger it would be better lol..... what? Just buy a 15 year old used civic for 3 grand and do complete engine swap and huge turbos for about 15 grand you can a 800HP-1000 civic! would you say that is a better option than your stinger? STop thinking every other car is coming after your manhood.

It's a plague that a lot of car guys suffer from when they become obsessed with one particular model or brand, they lose touch with reality. You see it on every forum in every class of car.

I intended to remove everything (except the Stillen intakes) and sell it but they made me a good offer for the car if I left it as is.

It really isn't a good comparison. The M550 is a twin turbo V8 powered full size luxury sport sedan. It's hard to find cars to compare the Stinger to because it's bigger than the S5s, more powerful than Regal GSs, and smaller than S7s or Panameras.

A better vehicle to compare the M550 to would be another full size luxury sport sedan with over 500 hp.

Even if you can find another car that compares closer, what's written on paper doesn't tell the whole story. It's not all about 0-60s and 1/4 mile times. You really have to get behind the wheel and experience the car for yourself to get the full picture.

Comparing stock cars to modded? Hell there's 2005 Honda Civics with <$5k in mods that run 9s.

2020 M550i are faster than the numbers you posted though. I'm guessing those are with the outgoing engine. There are a lot of 2018-2019 M550 on the BMW forums running 11.0X and one running 10.93 @ 127mph with just a tune and exhaust. Looks like most of the focus over there is on 60-130 runs though.
How many runs will it last.
