Which should I buy?

I think the Honda is the car for you , especially if the 2 L is the only option

I agree will all other points here. If you're not considering the GT, which is the reason to get the Stinger then just get the Accord. One point also about your comparison list in regards to Remote Start, just ask the dealer to include it in the deal. I'm sure they would throw it for free if that hows they can get you - Mine did it no problem, didn't cost me a penny extra and I use it daily now.
An Accord is an Accord but its not fun or unique. The Stinger is unique and so fun to drive especially the GT. Heads turn in all directions when I drive it and I don't see any on the roads in my neck of the woods.

I know I can add on Remote Start, and I don't mind paying extra for it, but I just don't like that it's an extra key fob.

I appreciate everyone's replies!

Like I mentioned in my OP, I'd love to get the GT, but I drive about 18k miles a year. I really don't like that 7 inch display with the thick bezel, the 8 inch makes that screen popping out much more bearable. So the minimum I could do is the GT1, which is about $10k more than a 2.0 Premium.

With all that being said... there is a 2019 GT1 AWD near where I live listed for $42,284. The lease incentive on it is $4,900. Do you guys think I can get them down any more than that? If I could get it for $35k OTD, I will go do it right now!

You never know, but I would be doubtful you would get that car for 35k OTD. It's a 2019 which just came out. Maybe check out some 2018s around where you live, but that's still a steep discount to expect. Honestly what is probably happening is that they are showing the price with the incentive already built in. They are not going to be robbed blind.

It may not be possible on a 2019, but if you can find a 2018 you like, most of the dealers are making good deals on them to move them since the 2019's are in. You should be able to get at least 10% off MSRP + the incentives from Kia, maybe more.

For instance, my 2018 GT AWD with DriveWise MSRP was $43,910 and I got it for $32,444 OTD. They were not willing to make that type of deal on a 2019, but I had 2 dealers both offering great deals on the 2018s they had left.

The deals are on the 2018's for sure, see if you can find a good deal on one.

I test drove the Accord 2.0T Touring and if that was my only option besides a base model Stinger...I'd take the Accord 10/10 times.

The new Accord is no joke on all levels but one...the stereo. How hard would it be to...I don't know, put in a decent stereo?

Hm.. maybe the accord would have been an option, but it won’t come to Germany. I guess my choice of stinger 2.0 was good.

Hi, just wanted to chime in here. I'm a formerly BIG Honda guy and had every intention of getting a 2018 Accord when they came out. I had a 2013 Accord Coupe and was waiting for the 2018's. Drove one and it's was fine. Drove a Stinger (2.0, premium AWD) and was blown away. How anyone can compare an Accord to a Stinger is puzzling to me. The Stinger is on another level, even in 2.0 trim. Not to mention those Accord's are hideous! Every time I see a new Accord on the road I thank God I didn't buy one because I wouldn't have been happy. I also drove a new Mazda 6, which if I didn't get the Stinger, would've been my second choice....but it's still no Stinger!

I wouldn't call it hideous, but I am having a hard time understanding why they picked those tail lights. The front of the Accord and the sport trim wheels are nice.

I drove the GT1 a couple days ago, and man that's a lot of power! I could probably afford buying the car, but I could definitely not afford owning it... I'd get way too many tickets!

I'v decided that if I can get the Stinger for a good amount less than an Accord, I'd go for it. I'm trying to find a good deal on a 2018 Stinger 2.0T Premium.

Hello all! I know by posting this in a forum all about Stingers, I'm going to get some biased replies, but that's kind of the point!

I have been shopping the Honda Accord 2.0T Touring for a while, and I have been pretty convinced its the right car, but now that the 2018 Stinger 2.0T Premium has come down in price quit a bit, its about the same price as an Accord. I LOVE how the Stinger looks and drives, but there are some features in the Accord that have made my decision very hard!

My Argument: Assuming both cars have the same OTD price, why should I get the Stinger if the Accord is quicker 0-60, better gas mileage, and slower depreciation??

Here are my pros and cons. Please tell me what you think!

Stinger 2.0T Premium
0-60 --- 5.9 seconds
MPG --- 22/29 - 25 Combined
Remote Start --- Extra Cost & Extra fob
Keyless Entry --- Press button on handle
Shift knob --- I don't like it (GT2 is nicer)
Front seats --- Just heated (2018)
Rear seats --- Enough legroom
Depreciation --- Unfortunately, its a Kia
Trunk --- Liftback with more cargo space
Design --- Super sexy!

Accord 2.0T Touring
0-60 --- 5.7 seconds
MPG --- 23/34 - 27 Combined
Remote Start --- Included in price & same key fob
Keyless Entry --- Sensor on back of handle (don't have to press button)
Shift knob --- I like the idea of pushing a button to put it in drive
Front seats --- Heated and Ventilated
Rear seats --- Heated and more spacious
Depreciation --- It should hold its value pretty well
Trunk --- Decent size but liftback is cooler!
Design --- Decent and sharp, but no where near the Stinger

I drive a lot for work, about 18k miles a year (If I didn't drive that much I would have already gotten the GT!)

Compare the Regal GS to the Stinger and Accord if you really want to make your choice more difficult.

In Honda terms, I feel a 2.0T Stinger combines some of the performance and panache of the Accord with some of the utility of the CR-V, while providing a platform that can be tuned for more power without becoming a mess around turns. I'm willing to pay a bit more in depreciation for that. If you like attention, mine continues to draw stares and start conversations on a regular basis.

This is 14.5 feet of Christmas trees and I had tons of room to spare. Not long ago I transported a lawn mower (in box) and didn't have to fold the seats, though I did have to remove the cargo cover.

Recently, I was driving a high-power, open diff FWD car and had to get on the gas while completing a U-turn. This really highlighted the difference between RWD and FWD, though it shows up even when only pushing a little. There is just something about a RWD (or RWD biased) car with the weight of the engine tucked low and back against the firewall and a suspension tuned by folks who care about driving.

Well in Australia they sold the eco mustang , no one bought it. The same is happening with the 2.0 version of Stinger. You’re resale will be far worse. For me it was easy, buy the 3.3 litre GT. You forgot to put that option in your poll. If it is a budget issue then the decision is made for you.

I drove the 2.0 first and honestly, I was completely disappointed. So much so that my stomach sank. And then I drove a GT...

What have you driven before ? And what exactly disappointed you ? I guess it depends on what you have driven before..just for example ..(read on if wanted larger text of my opinion and situation)

For me - coming from an Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback .. 143hp - 178nm at 4500, 1400kg
Was an import from Ukraine
No cameras no navigation no usb ports no to almost everything - just a high fuelusage - driving 130-150km/h on Autobahn gets me to 13 litres ... insurance is 150 € cheaper than stinger:
1020€ Lancer
1170€ Stinger

Lancer: 13500€
Stinger 2.0: 46.000€
1700kg - 1800 kg - Other Dates are known I think ^^

For me it’s a huge upgrade what i get from Interieur and about 100hp more even with more weight.. but far away to be a downgrade in power.
I can say that because of an situation while testdriving (moving to Autobahn and way up left lane was blocked from 2 transports .. with my old one: brake to get behind them, no way to get such boost to move hard forward. the gap between them was too short.. made me scare.
Stinger? Push the pedal and get out to lane in front of them)

My old one made me no problem, the stuttering in 2.0 is making me worry all day - but didn’t happen on the testcar therefore my decision is 2.0 Stinger
The big one was no option:
My old taxes: 172€ / year
2.0 stinger: 242 ?€/year
3.3 stinger: 366 € / year

Driving about 15.000 km / year .. some say it should have been the 2.2 then but Diesel is a bit tricky for now .. since I want to drive that car 10+ years.
Fuel Usage would make me pay each week maybe all 4 days, about 60-80€ .. while for now with my old car I have about 8 days .. so it would be a huge boost to cost which i can’t take.
But I still wanted a cool looking unique car.

Other cars ? See them too often (bmw Audi mercedes vw skoda Opel) and they don’t get you the same things for the money .. you Need to pay so much More .. SUV is also not wanted but since most poeple want to drive an SUV they offer more of them instead of sedans (for example we don’t even have an accord here)

I had a 2013 Optima SX 2.0T. Power felt the same and the ride wasn’t very impressive. Just no wow factor to me. The GT blew me away

You are falling victim to one of the classic traps: inability to be satisfied with enough. It's a human failing, that when we experience a "level" of something, we will never enjoy something less than that level, because we will always, always be comparing what we don't have to what we know we once had/experienced. It's what makes getting old impossible for some people (Merlin, for instance). Loss creates a separation between "glass half full" and "glass half empty" people.
