Converting 2022 GT2 tail lights to 1st generation

Swapped to KDM 2021
Nice! I was eyeing those before the 2022 kdm spec ones came out with the sequential turn signals. I'm a sucker for those.

Currently, the light bar is just chillin.

If I don't figure it out before it gets cold here I may have to scrap the entire idea.

How hard was it, cuz I mentioned my struggles trying to go from 2020 - 2022.

Center light was kind of a pain. The middle part of the light didn’t want to seat right, but I got it handled. Turn signals were no problem at all

I feel that taking the painted parts off the old turn signals to transfer to the new lights was a complete and total pain to do and not damage something. I think I broke a tab or 2 doing that part …

Yeah thinking back that was a total pain in the ass to not break something. I guess I was so focused on the center light I completely forgot about it lol

If y’all know of anyone looking to buy the 22 style LED tail lights hit me up

Hello,
Sorry to dig up an old thread.

* Did you have any warning light/electrical issues after your conversion or was it a straight plug and play?

* What was the issue with the center piece?

* Anything look out of place and is everything holding up well?

I have a 2022 and really dont like the Charger style center light.

Thank you

1st Gen tail lights look exactly like a Charger when the car is off. I say it looks like a Robin mask. Just a little thinner and doesn't have Dodge in the middle. That bothered me more so I converted to the 2022 style with sequential turn signals. I do wish they had went a different route with the tail light design but we got what we got I guess.

It was definitely a pain in the ass for me. You're lucky, all you'd have to do is buy sequential turn signals and you'd be done!

Thanks for the info. I should have been more specific, i meant its charger-like especially at night with my 2022.

Old ones were tops at night definitely, I just hated how they looked during the day.
