Considering a Stinger GT1 or GT2

i had a NA 3.3L flat 6 (SVX), and three turbos (WRX, Legacy GT, Forester XT). the SVX was good, but the turbo Subes had a bunch of issues - 2 were bought brand new, and 1 was low mileage used from a Subaru dealer. build quality was pretty crappy, too.
The car I enjoyed the most was the 2017 Legacy with the 3.6 flat 6 in it. Great DD power and I wasn't worried about it...:p Those engines are bulletproof. I agree with all your other comments as well as @Transmetal

My cousin, who is a mechanic, replaces subaru engines on the regular basis.
I've owned GM cars (Pontiac early on, Camaro Z-28, Buick, Pontiac G8GT, Chevy SS C7 Corvette), three Mustang GTs and now the Stinger GT1. Guess what? None of them ever had a failure, this over 55 yrs. Just batteries, fuel and oil filters etc. A year ago, new struts on the G8GT @ 100K miles.

I take care of my cars but the record speaks to the durability of the vehicles. Don

Anyone seen the sept (oct?) editions of motor trend and car and driver... Nothing but ev crap in 'em. If this continues, might have to cancel the subs.

Looking ahead a week or 3 years, all the car makers are pivoting to electric and/or hybrid. Writing has been on the wall for a while now, have you not been reading your magazines? Sounds like you should cancel them either way. ;)

^^Indeed! Been skipping over the ev content. Have no interest in it. Much like driving a video game.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Our older car is a 2009 Pontiac G8GT, just turned 120K miles and runs beautifully. It'll be kept until it becomes either unreliable or when repair parts are unavailable. Hopefully, that'll be quite a few years from now and with infrastructure more supportive of EVs. Don

Plan for me is to drive the Stinger into the ground, or until EV tech reaches my personal arbitrary requirements (it's not near them yet). Thinking it's going to be close (whether the Stinger dies or I'm into a new EV).

I said this about my last car, and I might still be driving it if not for specific issues I had prior to trading it in signaling it might not be the car I want to keep that long / might not make it.

The G8 is pretty basic mechanically, I can see keeping it on life support for a long time.
