Driving at 45 MPH and a woman turns left in front of me. I stand on the brakes and try to avoid her by pointing it to my left. No way out. I hit her going about 30. No airbag deployment in the Stinger. Car performed like a champ. Right corner took impact. Collision was hard enough to cause enough torque to crack windshield. I was able to drive car home. Didn’t feel any vibration at 80 MPH. Front passenger door won’t open. I want to cry! This will not be an easy repair. If anyone in Southern California knows of a great body shop, please post a referral.

Thanks!

Oh man, I feel your pain, I would be completely distraught as well, hopefully no one was injured, as the car can be repaired if that’s any consolation.

That's terrible. Sorry to hear. I hope no one got hurt.

Sorry to see that...hope you're ok and they can repair the car.

I guess she couldn't see you because of the subtle color you got  Glad you are OK.

oh........ouch.........Glad to hear your ok though!!! As much as it sucks, others are right, our cars can be replaced easier than we can (Even though we all know deep down it never feels that way).

I can't tell you how many near misses I've had, and I guess it doesn't matter what color you get, a**holes are a**holes.

I REALLY hope you get everything worked out and don't get screwed over by her insurance company. She did have insurance at least didn't she???:oops::oops:

Sorry also to hear your misfortune with your Stinger, hope your fine, and also Welcome to our forum, hope you get into a Stinger again soon.

So did any of the safety features come into play? Like did the front impact warning go off? And why would you be driving so fast going home after that accident.....we're not getting the whole story. I'm sure speed was a factor.

I feel your pain my fellow Stinger Owner. Some idiot in an apartment complex almost hit me head on cause he wasn't paying attention coming around a corner. He slammed on the brakes and narrowly missed me. I was at a complete stop at the time. I swear he soiled his pants from the expression on his face. He had to back up and go around me while I just stared at him and shook my head. At any rate, I'm glad you're OK.
Yes, the car can be fixed. However, don't forget to file a "diminished value" claim against the at fault party's insurance. That accident on your vehicle history report is going to greatly diminish the value of your Stinger upon trade-in or sale down the road. You need to be compensated for that loss as well as the cost to repair. It might be difficult to get them to pay but trust me, definitely worth your efforts. I had to file a diminished value claim on an accident I had last year in my 2016 Ram 1500 Longhorn 4X4. Their adjuster tried to say zero diminished value at first even tho the cost of repair was $14K. I then produced an unbiased diminished value report outlining $5500 in diminished value. Their appraiser came in at a little over $1200. We settled on $3500. To my surprise, when I traded the truck, the vehicle history was CLEAN. Always best to protect yourself tho. Good luck!
