Comfort or Sport mode

Ditto.

Sport practically all the time. The throttle response is just too sluggish to me in comfort. In fact, the car starts going faster when you switch from comfort to sport even without increasing the throttle. I paid for 365 ponies; they need to run free at all times. Of course my other car is a Hellcat, so I'm kind of used to instant power.

A question to other owners is when do everyone change the modes?

I mean is it safe to change the mode when you are accelerating, cruising or best to do it at stand still?
Personally I always change mode when I first start the car or at the stop lights. Just being careful I don't do any damage when changing mode while moving.
Does it matter at all?

It does. I have 40k miles, 90% of them highway miles, so needless to say I use cruise quite often.

Checked it out and sure enough, you are spot on. Thanks for the info.

I change modes during any driving situation other than when I’m accelerating aggressively because at that point it’s in sport mode already and I don’t want to confuse the car too much lol.

First thing I do when I get in the car EVERY time is put it in Sport mode and turn off Auto Engine Stop. I drive 90% + in Sport mode, the car feels dead in any other mode to me. On the Freeway when cruising and not in traffic I'm in Smart mode. I bought the car for the performance, looks and practicality. I don't understand why someone would buy a Stinger GT and not drive it in Sport mode.

Custom with drivetrain in sport and suspension in comfort mode. Best of both worlds. Can't believe a car like the Stinger comes with an eco mode. If you want to save fuel get an EV or a Rio.

ECO is no different than Comfort (for mileage) for me. Best mileage has been in Comfort, on 87 octane.

Smart mode 90% of the time. The car throttle/transmission/suspension adjust to how you drive it, ie. if you floor it in smart mode, it automatically replicates sport mode. If you are cruising on the freeway, it will replicate Eco mode.

I satisfied myself by experimenting on the freeway: that each mode has its own engine mapping. I was cruising in 8th gear, and when I turned the mode from Eco to Comfort, the RPM ticked up; in Sport there was a noticeable uptick in RPM. Switched to 7th and then 6th gear while cruising and watched the difference in RPM in Eco, Comfort and Sport in each gear. Interesting.:)

ECO and comfort RPMs change while freeway cruising? From my understanding, its just throttle sensitivity that changes. ECO and comfort are already in top gear, theres no way to drop RPMs even more

You can engage 8th gear manually in Sport. If you set the cruise and play with the mode you can see and feel the slight differences in each of the three modes. This is especially noticeable on an incline. Comfort's mapping is slightly more aggressive than Eco's. And Sport is significantly higher RPM in 8th gear than the other two.

Mine does not change between eco and comfort when cruising at ~80.

Bell just rang in my head when I read this. I have a Stinger GT Limited and I'm driving 90% in Comfort. :( Changing to Sport!

I Like the way the seat changes from comfort to sport. Puts a smile on my face. LOL.
