Collection problem

Was meant to pick up my new Stinger today (Chroma Red with red interior). The dealer rang me to say that the car had arrived in with a missing towing eye cover in the rear bumper. He said he will order one in but it will have to be painted. I didn't collect the car as I don't intend to drive around with a hole in my rear (pardon the pun)! If it has to be painted what's the chance of a perfect match? Am I right to be pissed off or am I fretting over nothing?

Right, if for no other reason than to have the care in YOUR CARE, rather than sitting at a dealer, possibly outdoors, and subject to whatever might happen to it.

Car dealers in most European towns don't keep a lot of inventory on-hand. When visiting my parents last year, the only Kia/Hyundai dealer for dozens of miles had one Stinger.

He only had one other - his own. A 2018 blue one. So he took the piece of it and got it painted and put it on my car. He sent me a pic and it looks fine. So I'm going to collect in the morning and will examine it properly.

I painted a rear diffuser with this OEM paint and it is 100% , both color and pearl , I'm sure you will be fine .

Super cool guy! He knows how this business should be done. He sacrifices to make you content/happy, then fixes the problem on his own.
