Cold Climate Stinger Owners

Good question. I only fold them in when I'm pulling into the garage since it's a bit tight. Otherwise, I rarely fold them in. I've never had an issue with winter, but like you, probably wouldn't use when freezing.

There is a manual fuel door opener in the trunk if that happens. In Canada its pretty much below freezing every day for 3months and its good to wash the salt out of the car regularly.
Holy shit, there is? I used a tiny key to pry it open

The inner pull only operates the latch. It won't help if there is water frozen around the door itself.

If you live where freezing rain happens (it does here in GA), grab an angled trim removal tool before you head out to buy gas.

For some reason, I do have far more trouble with the fuel door freezing shut on my Stinger than I've ever had on any other car and not just after washing it. It's almost like there are vapours collecting there and freezing. I just pound on it with the side of my fist and push the release button again and it will open. Haven't bothered trying any silicone or any other suggested fixes yet.

All i know is the winter has not been to bad. i have had no issues whatsoever in Ontario

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
"Tame winter" here too. I haven't even turned off the water system this winter. It gets cold at night; e.g. last night down to c. 23F. But typically this winter the highs are in the upper 30s to low 40s; with quite a few days ten degrees warmer than that. It's glorious! The mountains are white, lots of snow pack. And the Valley is "Camelot" weather. :D

Funny people: alarmists can't enjoy the gift of a nice, mild winter. Online in the comments sections (e.g. Reddit) when climate change is the topic, people living in the "great white north" of Canada or Europe express dismay verging on terror: because "it's still fall, winter never showed up this year". Well, GOOD! Warm is good, cold is bad. If the trend was toward colder instead of warmer and milder, we'd all be scared and rightly so. So what, if summers are a lot warmer, even hotter, than before? It won't kill off growing things like eternal winter does; people may not like those hot 90F plus days when they've been accustomed to 70s and maybe a few 80s days; they may feel like global warming is going to fry the planet; but that is not happening. Earth has been a LOT hotter than even the worse predictions of the climatologists. Besides, the worst case scenarios say that this warming is going to occur over decades even centuries. Humans will have plenty of time to adapt, migrate, even to Antarctica, if the equatorial belt becomes largely uninhabitable. Doing a coastal road trip on a highway in Antarctica in a vintage Stinger: now, that is a thought! :D

I have folding enabled, because this winter the lowest point has only been around -7 degrees.
