I dont know what it could be. But when I give it some real gas i get a pretty loud click noise from outside the car and if I let off the gas suddenly I get a nice little thud sound/feeling. I really dont want to leave it at the dealership forever.

could it be the speakers in the back?

It is awd and it is 100%some kind of drive train noise

gotcha... i get a thud from the rear the first time i take off almost every day. i assume its something settling in or speaker noise

Mine does that when I make a sharp turn first drive of the day. I assume it's just the lsd warming up. Mine feels like a bad bushing somewhere I think

My we do get paranoid with brand new cars! If this is a repeating noise then those interesting theories get tossed. If the OP had any kind of "incident", another theory could be a damaged exhaust system. Borrowing trouble, I am, because commenting is free. :cautious: I do know that the manual in various places mentions "clicking" noises that are "normal operation". But a "nice little thud sound/feeling" each time you release the gas pedal "suddenly"? I don't recall anything in the manual related to that.

And not only do I not want to leave my car at the dealership "forever". I do not want to leave my car at the dealership for any period of time at all!

Mine happens when I am accelerating hard enough during the 1-2 shift if I miss the shift even by so much as .00000001 second and the ECU shifts on its own. If I leave it Sport, it doesn't happen.

Since mine's RWD without an LSD, that rules that out. It sounds like the battery is getting tossed, though. At least, that's the kind of hard "thud" I get...

It could be the u-joint on the drive shaft. I had mine replaced. They said mine was the second to be replaced at the dealership. Apparently the u-joint had some play in it.

Ugh its gonna suck so bad to remove all my mods and let it sit at the crappy dealership forever.

I would take it to dealer sounds like driveshaft issue so probably u joints like others have said.
