Is there anything to cover the chrome strip that goes from the A pillar to the hatch window? I've only seen bug deflectors but that doesn't cover the last portion on the hatch and I'm not real keen on bug/sun visors on the doors anyways. I'm also looking for red if that exists.

Vinyl wrap.
I would get it done by professional shop, but you can buy precut strips as well (not sure if they have it red though)

I've used electrical tape, just correct width. Try it. If it looks good get a professional job, else live with it.
Very easy DIY.

Originally I took the pieces off the car and wrapped some. That was a pain for sure but looked great when re-installed. Nice glossy finish. On the other side of the car I spray painted them gloss black. No clear, just gloss black. few coats. that wasn't bad either. not perfect but they just blended in with the windows at that point. Finally I gave in and bought the window visors. They look great IMO as they are not big and bulky like in the old days. Back two pieces around the hatch are still gloss black spray paint. No issues...

I just Plasti-Dipped (spelling?) mine in satin black, matches the window molding pretty good. If you didn't know it was supposed to be black chrome you would never know the difference. As far as red goes, you'll probably be limited to a faux red carbon fiber vinyl, any flavor of red spray paint or if you have a hi-chroma red stinger, finding a shop to paint match.

If I'm able to, I can post pics of the black so you can get a visual.

just got my window visors ... then realized the extra chrome strip going down the hatch would look stupid with them.

Plasti-Dip time ...

do yourself a favor and just spray paint the two hatch pieces gloss black. remove them first for easy painting. The finish is a lot smoother and they just blend right in nicely.

i've Plasti-dipped chrome trim before and it comes out fine. i put a coat or two of glossifier on so its not so flat-black looking.

i did the 2 chrome strips above and below the grille on one of my old cars ... before and after
