• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Cannot register to map care website

Dealer does mine I figure that's what's they're for. When they said " No " as I walked away I turned and said " I know you'll do it see you this afternoon" Yep done :D. What's more when they login they use their password so I can't do it anyway. They've told me no issues now for them doing all future ones, guess it'll depend on the numbskull at the counter.

I was told that 10 years of free map updates was included when mine was delivered, provided I keep the services up to date with them. Haven't bothered to check if mine is up to date, will leave that for the dealer to worry about.
If they haven’t done it already, log in to the site and setup your own account. Do the updates yourself, it’s easy to do and doesn’t restrict you to the dealer. Who knows if they’ll be in business 10 years from now. Anyway if they set it up then your vin is locked to them and nobody else can update your maps. Better if you do it yourself

Phone number on the mapcare website is 13 15 42

I had email problems too - it got caught in my mail server's spam filter because whoever setup that Map-Care website had NFI how to properly configure their outbound email. Rookie IT mis-configuration!!!

And it's free for the 7yr warranty IIRC. Maybe some dealers are charging for "installation"?
Hey thank for that I will try to give them a call to try and get it sorted this week

I find I use Waze more often now anyway. Even with the latest updates , many speed zones are incorrect on the sat nav. And Waze alerts you to police and speed cameras. Added bonus.

Just fit a decent Radar Detector (at least while we still can in WA) that way you get warned about all the fixed camera's as well as the mobile ones...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Do they work good. What's a price of a good one?
I have the Valentine One Radar Detector Valentine One Radar Detector | Best Radar Detector | Radars Direct Australia with 4 x TMG a-15 Laser Quad heads TMG Alpha-15 Laser Defence System | Radars Direct Australia they work really well... depending on the traffic, for instance on the Kwinana, the ROE and the Tonkin I can pick up the Fixed Cameras signals before you can even see the camera's.. have never been past a camera or mobile radar/lidar without being warned...

I will show you next time we are in the same time zone, has another "special feature" that I cannot discuss on an Open forum (wink, wink)

Got it fitted and supplied by Radars Direct in Osborne Park.. apparently the Valentine One is currently not available, but they have a great alternative (TMG a-15 Laser Quad and Genevo One M) cost you around $2200 supplied and fitted.. IMHO totally worth it considering I had it in my Focus RS as well and never got one speeding ticket..

Jeez, they're not cheap are they. Wonder if WA would eventually ban them too.

They not cheap, but compared to the alternative they are Value for money, last time I got caught about 4 yrs ago, it cost me $1500 in fines, plus $2500 in impound fees, and 6 months with no license.... granted I was being a little bit silly on the Busselton Highway...

You certainly had some toys. I would have said you had to be single but you mentioned your wife.

I have been very lucky that she shares my passion for all things fast and shinny.. She owned one of the Last CV8 Monaro's when I met her (unfortunately it went to Heaven, after it got stolen and wrecked) so I knew from the start it would be a good match.. FiFo has also been extremely beneficial to us, besides I love pissing the kids off every time I get a new toy, my daughter is a personal banker with WestPac and she gets really pissed off cause I keep buying toys, always say's "Dad you should be investing your money, for a rainy day", I think it is more like you should be investing your money so We don't have to work one day when you are gone... haha... I call it "SKI" (spending the kids inheritance)
At the end of the day I work hard and I love to play hard too.. no point in earning it if you can't spend it..
