So you just used butt crimps instead of cutting and joining?Yup, and yup. I thoroughly enjoy it.
All of my cheap circuit thieves worked on the first try, but one of my butt crimps was bad. Took a while to track it down.
Depended on the circuit. So you just used butt crimps instead of cutting and joining?
Nice! I would like these options in the stinger but afraid to ruin the warranty so may leave it alone.Depended on the circuit.
Most of them I used the snap-on circuit thieves. The type that use spade connectors, not the more common double-pinch type.
Some of them I cut and re-joined with butt connectors. I like to use uninsulated solid butt connectors then double wall shrink. I generally crimp when working in the car, solder if I'm building something on the bench.
