My little 2.0T broke into the 10s this morning. I was outperforming the McLaren 720s at WOT.

Of course, I'm talking fuel consumption

My first drive after passing the 600-mile break-in period topped out around 27 miles per hour and had me fully on the brakes most of the time. The display drooped all the way down to 10.6 mpg at one point. ECO mode and auto-stop start could not save the day.

I tried to keep it under 11 but it crept back up before I reached the office. I covered 9.5 miles in 68 minutes. The biggest disappointment is that I wasn't cut off by a Prius driver during this trip.

Has anyone done better?

Lol! Good one! Mine was 10.6 after test driving the before purchasing it. Some highway stints in sport mode, well th3 majority of the drive was in sport mode. On the way home in eco mode, I got it up to 26.6. Was over 50 miles to get back home from the dealer, got the color combo I wanted so it was worth the trip.

Constantly around 9.5 - 10 mpg avg (Eco) when I have a short drive in LA traffic. If I drive longer, but still in normal traffic, I can reach 14-15 mpg but not more. In the freeway I reached 32 mpg avg (Comfort) driving from LA to San Diego with traffic in just a couple of occasions (Irvine, Huntington). GT2

I would like to mention that the gas played a big role. Going to San Diego I filled it up with the Shell premium and got 32 mpg. Coming back from there I filled it up with a different brand (don't remember the name, but was a minor company) and the best I got was around 29 mpg, with basically no traffic.

27 is more than reasonable for a car of this size, especially with these capabilities; in my book that is hardly different from low 30s unless one drives 20k plus per year. And 50 miles to get the car you wanted is basically next door. My longest trip to buy a car is about 1500 miles.

I feel for you; must be brutal traffic. That 32 mpg must have been really satisfying though.

If my math is right, that is equivalent to 34 mpg? Sounds epically good to me. And sobering for my car with 38% less displacement achieving 17.2 L/100km on that morning :D. Since then my morning drive has shot up to 22.7 mpg or 10.4 L/100km. We'll see if that lasts.

I got 31 MPG on a long trip to Kentucky in my GT.

Interesting turn this thread took. I started it to make fun of how awful my mpg was on a terrible traffic morning--it was with a 2.0 T driven gently in stop-and-go--and we've started in on accounts of good mpg. I guess that's what happens when neighboring countries use reciprocal measures for fuel consumption. ;)

Anyhow, carry on.
