i can't find an SD card anywhere in my '19 GT. i think i read that that model year might not be able to be updated? i'm so confused. any help is appreciated. thx!

The "base" GT never came with navigation, so, no SD card port.

unfortunately, i couldn't get that to work. it would try reading the usb drive, but couldn't go any further. i'd press the retry button and the same thing would happen.

did you put the entire update folder on the USB stick? because the update won't read inside the folder. you need to remove all the update files from the folder and paste them "in the open" on the stick. that's how it works with the SD card updates anyway.

What I don't understand is why the Kia factory installed 20 year old Satnav software into the latest My 23 Stinger GTs in Australia. The last ever sold. Mine does not indicate schools that were built in the last 20 years and still notifies of others removed 20 years ago. It shows banks that closed 25 years ago. Seems that whoever provided this "Australian" version software to the Kia factory didn't bother to check it and neither has Kia.
But having said that, the update version they provide on the Kia website only shows versions to be updated are already later than mine to update and they simply don't load so I have given up. Folders, individual files....don't work.

I would rather have the functionality of what software I have than have it buggered up to a later version anyway. I read somewhere that the Quantum Sound option gets wiped out with the update, and, there is no roll back to the previous version. My 2 cents..........
