actual base rwd only? yes for sure people consistently get around 4.99 to 5.2 to 60 in the rwd ones. with 13.4-6 ish 1/4 mile times. as long as you can hook or have awd..Co worker has a base model 3 wants to race for $100. Theyre rated at 296hp but idk since it's electric. Ive only got intake, exhaust and downpipes if that helps
Yea awdIf it's the standard version, you probably have a decent shot. Is yours AWD or RWD?

then you will beat a base model 3
good luck
get that money
Maybe a base model 3 but not much else. I just went to the street legal drags last week at Sacramento Raceway Park, and there were at least 3 Tesla's there (model S and model X), and they were all turning mid 11's.Co worker has a base model 3 wants to race for $100. That would take like a mile, no? A decently fast car in the 1/4 will be trapping 100-ish, so you'd have to go quite a bit further to "reel them in"?From my experience (coworker has a dual motor 3) it will leave yah in the dust up to about 100 then you can reel him in quicky his is awd my car is awd so a rwd rwd may seem the same
Also the rwd model 3 is down on power quite a bit vs the dual motorFrom my experience (coworker has a dual motor 3) it will leave yah in the dust up to about 100 then you can reel him in quicky his is awd my car is awd so a rwd rwd may seem the same
True .. also just make sure they are low on charge tell them they will have less weightThe only question that really matters is what’s the distance of the race? If it’s between some lights, you’re toast. If you’re AWD and he’s RWD Model 3 Base, in 1/4 mile you can probably clip him at the line. If he’s in a RWD LR or Midrange Model 3 (2017-2018) you will lose since those had larger batteries. Any other trim Model 3 you will definitely lose. If you’re racing over a mile, which is unlikely, you will reel him in low to mid triple digits. The thing about most Model 3s, with the exception of the dual motor versions, is that you don’t know what trim he has unless you see his system screen that states the configuration.

gah... i know people like that.... it's so frustrating cause these people won't change their mind regardless of proven facts so it's pointless to even argue ...Not a Tesla, but another EV. My step dad is the kind of guy that can never let me have anything better or faster than him. He has a Chevy Bolt and he's convinced it's faster than my Stinger, he says he took it to a track and it was faster than Mustangs and Camaros and I just rolled my eyes. He asked what the 0-60 time was on the Stinger and when I told him he got this shocked look and then claimed the Bolt's 0-60 is 4 seconds which is easily disprovable considering we all have smartphones, but I didn't think it was worth it since he can't ever be wrong. He said we were going to race but mysteriously never challenged me.
