Just leased a 2018 GT2 AWD on Tuesday
Miles on car = 1,600
24 month

MSRP = 52,425
Dealer Price = 42,651 ($9,774 discount)
Lease Cash = $9,500
Fees = $999 ($650 acq fee and #349 dealer fee)
Price before trade = $34,150 (Dealer Price - Lease Cash + Fees)
Trade value = $13,500 (car max offered $11,500, so $2K higher)
*******Price with $2K higer trade ($32,150)*** this is what I feel I paid for the car
Trade applied to lease = $5,800
Trade payed back as check = $7,700
Adjusted cap cost = $28,350
Residual = $28,309
Payment = $129 a month

Current plan is to buy out early, however I may just make the payments in case I want to trade it in after two years.

Thoughts on the deal?

Seems almost too good to be true. Over nine grand dealer discount? Insane! I have never heard of a dealer discount being more than the Kia lease rebate. Hmm!

Oh, I get it; the actual "dealer discount" is $274. The bulk of the discount is the Kia lease rebate. I'm still very green around leases.

That is a killer of a low monthly payment! (but if you're buying out the lease anyway, you'll save lease rent; I saved over $5K buying out 33 months early)

I think he stated in his previous post that the dealer discount is $9774 and the lease cash was applied on top of that.

Not possible. Look at his lease details. The dealer has lumped their discount into the Kia lease rebate.

When I took my deal to another dealer to see if they could beat it I was accused of lying at first and faking it then they told me the other dealer was lying and to come back when the deal falls through LOL

Still, your deal is the only one I've seen like that. Amazing dealer discount. And I don't see how that is possible but there it is in black and white.

I'm reminded of a comic: two hobos sitting in the open door of a train cattle car. Their clothes are frayed business suits. One is saying to the other: "I knew we weren't making a profit, but I thought the increased sales volume would save us."
