I am so excited for the sale of the stinger in the USA. Will it be manufactured in the States as the optimas are? Will not buy a 2018 model, but definitely will own a 2019 Kia Stinger GT Blue with Red interior. Also hoping the 2019 will have new additions and bugs worked out.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Schwarzkopf! And thank you for signing up. That's a really good question - about where it's being manufactured. I'm not sure. Perhaps I forgot. Has anyone seen that mentioned before? Yes, the second year typically works out bugs with a brand new model. However, I have a feeling Kia's really working on making this launch a big success. I think it'll be almost perfectly reliable from the start...

Oh, not worried about quality. I would purchase 2018 model but I have other financial obligations. I have been researching cars for 2 years, but when I heard about the stinger it hit me that this was the car for me. Then I was like WHAT KIA NO WAY! Then after research seeing how Kia has improved I knew it was the Gran Turismo for me.

It's just the beginning for Kia. They've been building great products these past few years and most people still have no idea. There are still people who believe Cadillacs are for old people despite 640 horsepower sedans rolling out of the showroom. It takes time to fix a bad reputation but Kia's been doing that in spades.

I read somewhere--and didn't keep track of where it came from, since I had no way to check reliability--that the U.S. cars are being built in S. Korea. I was kind of hoping they'd be built at the plant in West Point, GA, but it appears no.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

According to the last line of this article, Mexico will be building Stingers domestically. Could that mean that some of the US inventory could originate there? Maybe... But, who knows. The US has a relatively stable free-trade agreement with South Korea (and I believe the Korea -> US tariffs on motor vehicles are finally gone now), but they are looking to revise the North American agreement, with motor vehicles being one of the hot topics of debate.
