I’m new to the stinger world and am wondering if the Brembos on these create a ton of break dust? I don’t have enough miles to know yet. I’m coming from the Mopar world and my Brembos on my Challenger n chargers were horrible for brake dust. Everyone changes them out right away

any input would be greatly appreciated

No I wouldn't say the Brembos create much brake dust at all. I must admit to not having to clean the wheels very often compared with my 2012 Jeep Cherokee. The wheels on the Cherokee always seem covered in dust. Probably helps with the light grey colour of the Stinger wheels as opposed to the chrome wheels on the Jeep. Disguises the little dust that accumulates on them.

Welcome to the Stinger forum by the way Bryan.

I'm still on the first set of OE pads at c. 30K miles. When I wash my wheels, the front wheels are always a little bit dustier than the rear wheels. But nothing excessive front or rear. The OEM pads were picked by Kia for the US market because they create a minimum of brake dust.

The real difference is that the Stinger Brembo pads are ceramic and throw very little dust VS conventional pads

Our pads are ceramic and throw very little dust

The faster you go, the less brake dust collects.

2 years in and I ain't seen any dust. Maybe those left behind have eaten it?:D

Seriously though no dust most impressed. My previous WRX was a shocker for it.

My observation as well , My previous BMWs were horrible for brake dust until I learned about ceramic pads , that made a huge difference BUT they have to be bedded properly , thats the big issue many members here are having with the "perceived" warped rotor debacle ..................there is a proper procedure and Kia should have made new owners aware of it !!

I did a thread search for bedding brake pads. I couldn't find anything. Could you please pass this info on again or link to topic?
Thanks
