Hello all,

I was washing my car today and while drying off the rims I noticed the silver (looks like the edge of a pie plate to me) part right behind the two front tires rotors that at least to me looked warped.
Just looked weird to me that I wanted to ask you guys about; I hope the pictures help.
Vehicle only has 1250 miles on it.

It's just a dust/rock/grime shield. Every Stinger I've seen with the wheels off are like that.

Thank you, I’m sure the high pressure washes don’t help.

Thank you, and I get the high pressure car washes I go to doesn’t help?

That shouldn't have any effect at all.

Some look more warped than others. But this is normal. It's odd that the shields on the rear rotors are nice and straight and the front shields have warpage. :D

At least to me the ones in the back look fine, but after checking out the rears once again they are in perfect condition.
I know you answered this question for a gentleman who leaves in the Middle East (had a picture of him driving in a sand storm) and had some squealing coming from his front brakes and weird enough today I did as well; I did wash the car to possibly clear any gunk out of the brake area.
Only light braking, like when the adaptive cruise control is slowing you down a bit, or me braking lightly.
I believe you might have said some coating needs to burn off the rotors, and I might have read the Brembo brakes are a bit eccentric when comparing to non-Brembo brakes?

I don't know what you mean, "eccentric".

Let me re-phrase.
Not knowing brakes all that well I do understand that Brembo brakes have superior stopping power over non-Brembo brakes, but I have read that they are a different animal then regular brakes that come on most cars let’s say then an Optima which I have owned.

Brembo brakes are high performance. Having the name on the bright red calipers sends a message to car enthusiasts. And it's why pad deposits on the rotors is such a disappointment to those who experience that. "Real" Brembo setups would never leave pad deposits: they might squeal as they turn the rotors bright orange, and leave a coating of dust all over the front wheels, but they'd never leave behind pad deposits. That's pretty "eccentric" I reckon: you've got high performance calipers, factory rotors and US spec (read, soft and quiet) pads: the combo is not Brembo. :D So, aftermarket has stepped in to save the day and make those afflicted happy with their Brembos once again.

Wow, thank your for the enlightenment since was under the impression that the brakes ran much deeper then the pretty writing on the calibers.
So, if one car came to mind that has a true 100% Brembo set up, what car would that be?

My friend Chris Farrell's SCCA race car. "I loved my Brembo brakes," he said, when he noticed "Brembo" on the Stinger calipers. "And, it's a Kia," he said, and left it at that. (He has a 635 HP 911; also, he's retired from racing.) I am not a car guy, so, I cannot give any sort of comparative list of cars with high performance brakes that are better than ours: but I know that there are a lot of high performance cars that have better performing brake systems than the Stinger's (and they cost more too; e.g. Chris's 911 MSRPs at $190K-something and he bought his used at just over $100K). I think we're doing fine with Brembo brakes on a car that costs a fraction of cars like that.

This is normal, first pic is front, second is rear.

I was not happy to heal or squeal or two today while braking, but hopefully the car wash I gave her today will take care of things.

Wow, just like mine where the fronts are a bit messy and the backs are ok, great.

They are not "messy".. they are designed that way for good reason.
