Hey everyone,

Looking to upgrade from my stock rotors and pads to aftermarket rotors and pads. I would like drilled and slotted rotors and pads that will reduce the amount of brake dust. I've noticed that the factory pads don't bite that great and produce a crap ton of brake dust.

So far I've only looked at R1 concepts drilled and slotted rotors and pads but they are out of stock and don't have an ETA for when they'll be back in stock so I'm open to all suggestions.

Skip R1.

knsbrakes.com

DBA rotors and some good pads

DBA !!!

Thank you! At 13k miles do I need to bleed these brakes when doing a rotor and pad swap?
I wouldn't buy I'm lazy

You never need to bleed just for swapping pads/rotors unless you do something horribly wrong. You eventually need to replace the brake fluid, but that can be anywhere from 3 years to never.
Drilled/slotted rotors make *MORE* dust. The amount of dust is mostly influenced by the pad composition. Low dust pads tend to be noisier and have a different bite than other pads.
Brake dust is a fact of life. Gotta live with it.

What are some good blank rotor brands to get ? I know cquence is one . Any other?
i would disagree on that , i would go with centric rotors

Centric Premium

Cquence and R1 single piece rotors are just DFC rotors, also the "high carbon" rotors they sell on their site are lies:
For blanks or any one-piece rotors I would go with DBA or Centric.

For value, getting different pads and OEM rotors would give you better braking.

better than a quality aftermarket rotor and pad set ? do explain .

He said "for value". A better aftermarket rotor is like $200-300, vs OEM is $99 at tirerack, and IS high carbon. BETTER than cheap R1 crap (I've run both - back on OEM). You'll have to spend quite a bit to do better than OEM rotors, IMHO. Pads are a different story, of course..
