Borla Catback w/ Jun BL Downpipes

Yeah. Just looking adding another layer onto my existing Borla. May just wait till Spring when it is warmer and after the rock salt is off the roads.
Do you have a vid of what your exhaust sounds like currently with just the Borla?

I don’t have one. But I probably can do one and post it soon...

I’ve been debating whether to get the Jun BL. Currently, I have the Borla and love it. But I think the Jun BL adds another layer of character. I probably will get it.

Adding an aftermarket downpipe to your Borla Catback Exhaust is one of the greatest things you can do if you are looking for more performance and sound. The Jun Bl Secondary Downpipe is a great option for opening up exhaust flow from your restrictive factory set up. Jun Bl downpipes combined with the Borla exhaust sounds aggressive and throaty. Also, each Jun Bl product I have seen has incredible welds which in my eyes show attentiveness to craftsmanship and detail. However, If you want to maximize your Stingers power potential and sound output I would choose a set up with primary and secondary downpipes such as the Ultimate Performance Downpipe Combo Kit. A downpipe combination kit that includes the primary downpipe replacement will yield significantly more power than just the secondaries alone. Anyways, just my .02 it all depends on what you are looking for and comfortable doing. Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have about either setup.

Secondary DP add only sound almost no power.
For power, need to remove the primaries OR go for the ultimate performance HFC downpipe kit.

Thx everyone! Will look at primaries too

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I’d be careful w/ primaries, once you do that, you’ll need a tune for sure to prevent overspooling (not sure if JB4 or Racechip can help with that as well), and warranty is even more in the grey area. For me this is where I stop. No need to start messing with the primaries, I think it brings a whole lot of problems and headaches with it that just aren’t worth it. The secondary Downpipes does add a little HP, but nothing like primaries. For me, the sound is worth it more than anything. Just my two cents!

What I was told about the removal of the primary cats will cause it to throw codes and add to over spooling as I have that with Stronger RC map with only Jun Bls and my Borla, just my experience on this so far :)

You make a great point about the CEL and potential boost issues. It is highly recommended to have the car tuned in order for the combo kit to function properly. From my understanding, if you have the JB4 or Lap3 tune you should be fine. I personally love the tone and bump in horsepower from the primaries I can sympathize with you on the hesitation to jump into primaries but I have not experienced anyone having any issues with the Ultimate Performance Combo Kit. For some people, it may be too big of a risk than worth taking. I try my best to emphasize that if you are seeking the highest performance modification possible then this kit would be perfect for you.

Don’t really want to throw codes. I guess I have concerns from the sensors being removed. I probably will start with the Jun BL secondary and go from there. Thx

I do have a JB4

Hey Guys, finally installed Borla S-Type Catback w/ Jun BL Downpipes and I’m in love, it’s loud, you get the pops and gurgles while downshifting, and it’s only going to get deeper as I drive more. Not sure what drone people are talking about because I went ahead and installed tips and took others advice. I’m very happy with the setup.

Have a little rattle with tips against diffuser but it’s only sometimes, will prob trim diffuser slightly to create more room or try adjusting the tips a little by adjusting mufflers, but it’s only sometimes so I think I’m going to wait to let things break in before I start messing with things.

Let me know what y’all think!
Any changes to the sound after nearly a year of ownership? I had the same setup installed a couple of weeks ago!

Just a heads up on what I originally thought was over over spooling, it was really just the low quality gas I was using for the car since buying it new , After changing brands my trouble s all went away , and no more going into limp mode! The way my Sringers GT runs now , is better than I could have hoped for :)

Good to hear!!
