I’ve got a Windbooster and have been happy with it. I wanted BMS originally, but ran into the same backorder problem. I like the Bluetooth. I keep it on Sport 7 for daily driving and get around 23-25 mpg on my 20 minute mostly highway commute. Usually get around 25-27 mpg with it turned off.
Not sure how it compares to the windbooster, I have the Racechip pedal tuner that I really like. Got mine through K8, I have the bluetooth version but I actually have not tried the bluetooth function as the app seems to have pretty poor reviews. I just have the wired dial sitting in the bin in front of the console. A side effect that has been mentioned is it seems the pedal tuners disable the auto start/stop (something I never noticed until it was mentioned somewhere) - a plus/minus depending on how concerned you are about the auto start/stop. I think the setting you use is more likely to affect gas mileage than the tuner itself.
For me no, main thing for me is to reduce or get raid of the lag.

It depends on how you drive and your car settings. I’m spirited on acceleration and die down to a cruise. I keep my car on eco with WB on Sport+ 98% of the time. I’ll change to Sport on the Highway for a little 1:1 challenge on rare occasions. Everything in moderation.
