I posted it on Facebook a while back. I can’t find it. But since then, I’ve broken the 1/4 mile record a few times, and I plan on hitting it again this Sunday.was this ever made?
THATS WILD! im debating on buying the burger motor sports wmi! doesn't look bad or anything. might just f*ck around and buy itI posted it on Facebook a while back. I can’t find it. But since then, I’ve broken the 1/4 mile record a few times, and I plan on hitting it again this Sunday.
TBH, I only use it (select map 7) when I go to the track. Here in California, we only get 91 octane gas, so I keep it in map 1 for daily driving.Question, is WMI worth it for daily driving, also I'm in Rhode island so the highest temperature in the summer is 90F, and we have 0 drag strips or raceways.
So in other words if I don't go to track/raceways it's worthless in a cold climate, also we have pretty good 93 octane here I can run map 3 without correction.TBH, I only use it (select map 7) when I go to the track. When I started upgrading, I was running high 13's at the track, now with all my mods (see my sig), I am running 11.8 in the 1/4 mile.
Meth raises octane and lowers air temps (via evaporation). This is used to combat the issues from higher boost levels - detonation due to extremely high chamber temps and pressures with pump gas. Can also be useful if you're in an extremely hot climate or doing road racing in Nevada during the summer or something. OR if the car uses a supercharger where the intercooler is much more limited, so you need some additional help to cool the air back down. OR you've saturated the intercooler and aren't changing it.So in other words if I don't go to track/raceways it's worthless in a cold climate, also we have pretty good 93 octane here I can run map 3 without correction.
Right now in the winter my IAT are about 10 degrees higher than the outside, and I'm running 17lb boost, highest boost was 19lb on map3, and I sometimes do road racing, and as I said before it's cold in here (RI) even in the summer we only get 2~4 days when the temperature is above 90F.Meth raises octane and lowers air temps (via evaporation). Running very high boost? Need to mitigate it somehow (run race gas, e85, WMI). E85 isn't really an option due to limited volume of our fuel system. E30 is as close as you can get, and that will still need some help, hence WMI. And gas pumps tend not to have race gas.
Not running very high boost? Don't need to.
How often while daily driving are you seeing manifold pressures >18PSI?
